Li Guo Wang
Height: 7'2
Weight: 260 lbs
Position: C
Age: 20
College: Qingdao University (China)
Ratings: B+ C+ C+ C- C A
Pros: Li is an extremely interesting player. He's great offensively, and should be able to score close to 20 points per game as a rookie. He has unbelievable post moves and can shoot very effectively out to 15 feet. His height allows him to shoot over just about any player in the league. He's not a great rebounder, but his height alone allows him to grab a few rebounds. He's a fundamentally sound player who's an above average passer and should actually be able to limit his TO's.
Cons: The obvious thing about Li is his lack of defense. He's absolutely terrible. The biggest reason for this his lack of athleticism. He is a bit of a machine, and when a player requires quick decision making and athleticism he tends to get into trouble. He's not much of a jumper and is actually not that strong.
Overall: Li is a straight stud offensively. He has unbelievable post moves and is virtually unstoppable when he gets the ball within 15 feet. He can face up defenders and shoot over them or destroy them with his array of post moves. Team can run their offense through him as he's a TIm Duncan like passer in the post. He should also shoot over 80% from the free throw line. He will not really turn the ball over either. His lack of defense will plague him for his entire career. If he is forced to guard a more athletic player (which will be just about everyone in the league) he will get into foul trouble and give up quite a few points. I think he has the ability to be a very good player, but I'm not sure he'll ever be more than a below average defender.
