Wow. k. Ya. If you are crossing all those guys off of your draft list your draft will probably suck. lol. I'm pointing out how they are viewed as meh...I won't be touching lovelette though

Ramsey and Gola are pretty sick looking guys for 6-10. Low strength and inside means Ramsey is a role player in the highest degree He is a role player. I think hell be a great pick at 6-10 though.

The goal is most likely in the end to flip the player for value, unless yur team is one role player away the guy does no good, you can get role players for free to two picks every year and none of those are lotto, it's not hard

It may have a lot to do with the complete lack of structure to the notes...so I get to know that these guys are good at this and that, but I have 0 clue as to whether the guy is a risk, solid but not a star, or what not, ther is no way to judge a guys potential value...

But the upside is SO much higher, I don't mind taking a role player at the end of the lotto or if my team is already setup through trades and the such, but taking a role player when I am early in building gains melittle would rather just risk it

i think the problem is with the notes fwiw. if spence is convinced it's not a bad class, then it probably isn't, but the notes really make it feel thin. there are so many guys who are apparently good prospects, but the notes don't mention their upside, their ratings look mediocre, and their strengths aren't impressive

Complete lack of structure. lold Well you give no insight in the notes as to the top guys, so we have to guess, that's how sears is top 5 in my book, you said mid to late first though, that's a pretty big discrepancy, and it's cause all I have to go on are notes that say he can block and steal is solid inside, but weak, and he has A scouted

Re: Centers! « Reply #19 on Jun 20, 2011, 6:30pm » Clyde Lovellette C 6'9'' 235 26 B+ C- C- C+ B- A
-Should get a ton of steals. -Solid inside scorer. -Decent jumpshot. -Good athlete. -Decent rebounder. -Mediocre defender. -Wont block shots.
there's nothing impressive about this guy, and certainly nothing that stands out above his age, and he's being called a top 5 prospect. i feel like if spence wasn't explicitly saying that, and all there is to go on is those notes, there's no way he goes anywhere near the top 5. like i said yesterday, when you ignore upside, you make the draft a crapshoot. i'm not sweating it, i mean i'm not even trying to tank, but i think the notes and file don't make this draft look anywhere near as good as spence is saying it is
