Barret Barker 6'4 215 SG 22 years old Syracuse University
Ratings: C+ B+ C- B C B
IN--Barker is a strong player in the mold of an Eric Gordon type. He is an average jumper and can finish around the rim. He doesn't wow you with his athleticism but dunks it some and is an above average finisher.
OUT--Barker is a superb mid-range shooter. He's drawn comparisons to Allan Houston and Rip Hamilton in that regard. He moves extremely well without the ball and is automatic from the free throw line. He can hit the three but prefers to operate within the arc.
Handles--Barker does not like creating for himself or for others. Most of his offense comes from set plays in which he gets the ball and shoots. He won't turn the ball over, but he is not a passer and is not very quick either.
Defense--Barker is a solid perimeter and help defender. He will get a few steals but isn't prolific in that regard. Basically, he will keep his man in front of him and not make many dumb mistakes. He's also strong.
Rebounding--Barker is an average rebounder for his position. His strength helps him on the defensive boards, but he won't crash the offensive rebounds.
Upside--Barker has little room to grow after four years in college. His game should be ready to function in the BBS though.
Overall: Great college player who should be a very good pro as well. Think Rip Hamilton's game style with Eric Gordon's stature/strength.
Projected Ratings: B- A C- B+ C C
