idea - mix up the drafts... that way people can't trade for picks in certain years because they know those specific drafts are stacked.

That's awesome, why bother doing a retro league? That's fucking stupid, I'm glad I made a point of asking for picks in a certain year. It would have been nice to make an announcement in advance instead of telling a small group of GM's.

I really dont see how youd assume the draft years would be exactly the same. I think thats something that youd ask before acquiring picks in certain years.

It's a retro league, why would the drafts be different. Isn't that something that should be announced before the league starts?

it was also "announced" that people would be able to come up with their own ratings for player's draft profiles but Specner would just adjust the potential to whatever he wanted but now that's changed

If we start in 09 we will do fake players eventually. Something I might consider is letting people do player profiles even in retro. So lets say its the 81 draft. Id get 5 people to volunteer each year. 3 profiles each. Id say Aaron give me a profile on Isiah Thomas, Tom Chambers and Rolando Blackman. Youd be responsible for the ratings and the profile. Id give real potential.

Fore xample, Martinez wants to give Christian Laettner, a career 24% 3 point shooter a B outside rating. Yup.

But Spencer never said anything about players coming out in random years? Every BBS weve done that. UOSLR the only other retro league Ive been in, theyve done that. Ive never been in a league where all the drafts were exactly the same. Not everything can be said and written down before the league starts. There are too many variables to every league. What you can do is ask questions.
