Strengths
When he wants to be, Sidney can be a dangerous offensive weapon. His high/low post game is well developed for a kid his age; he uses a nice combination of strength, size and athleticism to get the job done around the basket. He's got very nice form and good range on his jumper--not there yet, but he's got the potential to extend his range out to (and possibly beyond) the pro 3pt line. A good passer, has no problem becoming a set-up man for teammates if it isn't dropping for him. Defensively, he is a fairly decent ball stealer and shot blocker. A decent defensive rebounder as well.
Weaknesses
Seems to have lost his motivation to mix it up under the basket. Is content to just take jump shot after jump shot at this point. Once compared to Kevin Garnett, Sidney now draws comparisons to an aging Antoine Walker. He could use some work on his ball handling too. Defensively, he will have problems in the pros because he will have no idea how to guard skilled players. After sitting out his freshman year due to ineligibility, he began his sophomore year on a nine game suspension, so he'll be turning pro basically right out of high school; he'll be raw and clueless. Needs to show a lot more hustle on the offensive glass as well.
Outlook
Once regarded as one of the top talents in his class, Sidney is fast on his way to becoming an afterthought. Some question how much of his downward spiral can be attributed to the gross mismanagement of his career by his douche-chill inducing father. It's no coincidence that his troubles started after having his scholarships to USC and UCLA revoked after his family's refusal to disclose it's questionable finances. Even still, Sidney is just two years removed from being one of the most dominant players in the country. Because of this, he's still almost a sure-fire lotto pick.
