Pros: Speaking strictly on physical gifts, Blake is highly coordinated, jumps really high, and is incredibly quick for his size. Combine this with solid post moves and good footwork, and you have a post player that projects to be highly efficient, and possibly even dominant. He draws fouls at a high rate as well, by overpowering you with brute strength or going around you, absorbing any contact and finishing with authority. Gets after boards like a madman, his tenacity is pretty remarkable.
Cons: He can draw fouls, but he really can't shoot. He's very gifted physically, but he has short arms, so he will have to rely on his athleticism throughout his career. Due in part to those short arms, he won't have nearly the impact defensively that someone with longer arms would have, which is a shame because everything else about him screams intimidating defensive presence. Oh yeah, was it mentioned that he can't shoot? He'll probably be a sub 60% free throw shooter right off the bat, and he won't be able to stick a mid range jumper to save his life.
Overall: No matter his shortcomings, Griffin is a franchise player. At worst, a 22 PPG 12 RPG guy with an FG% hovering around 50.
