i think due to 4 common opponents (Oakland Cincinnati New England and Indianapolis) a 3 way tie would then be decided for those 3 teams with that tiebreaker. The Jets would then be in with the Broncos (this is because the Jets beat both the Colts and Bengals in the last 2 weeks to get in)

I disregarded the Jets because they are going to lose today.

What happens if NYJ loses today and BAL, PIT and HOU all lose next week?

What happens if NYJ loses today and BAL, PIT and HOU all lose next week? I would think the Jets would still get in. They would be tied with Baltimore for conference record which would eliminate PIT and HOU. Then they have the better record out of 4 common opponents.

I don't know for sure. If BAL PIT, HOU, DEN all lose next week then things get interesting.
If the NYJ beat Indy but lose to Cincy I think they are in.
If they lose to Indy but beat Cincy and Jacksonville beats Cleveland I think they would have the spot.

If they lose to Indy but beat Cincy and Jacksonville beats Cleveland I think they would have the spot. If Mia beats Pitts next week and the rest lose, and NYJ loses this week or next week, Mia would get in over NYJ It won't happen though.

Graphic on CBS said that we're eliminated if we lose this week.

Actually, you were all wrong earlier. If Pittsburgh, Denver, and Baltimore are all 9-7 it'd be Baltimore as the 5 seed and Pittsburgh as the 6 seed.
The Steelers are in next week if they win and either Houston loses to NE or Baltimore loses to Oakland.
