Strengths
Gallinari can really light it up from long range. One of the deadliest pure shooters to enter the league in some time. He can knock it down with a defender in his face, both ways off the dribble, on step-backs, on fade-aways and on up and unders. He's an expert at getting defenders off balance with a wide array of fakes and jabs. Not much of a turnover threat. He's also recently started showing some shot blocking aptitude.
Weaknesses
Only an average athlete without much explosiveness. At this point he's strictly a perimeter player. Doesn't have any post game, nor does he have the strength, or quickness to ever really excel in this area. He'll have to learn not to look down at the ball as he dribbles because it really limits his court vision. Defensively, he's a mess. He gets blown by often by quicker small forwards and would almost surely get mauled by pro fours. Also not a very good rebounder for his size.
Outlook
He's got a scorer's mentality and can definitely back it up with his shooting, but he really needs to develop a better feel for the game and look to get his teammates involved more. Realistically, he's got a lot of work to do on almost every aspect of his game if he ever hopes to live up to his hype. He'd be a great commodity to stash away for a couple of years, but he's don't expect much right away.
