Love what the Bengals did on day 2. Brandon Thompson was supposed to be a 2nd round pick. We can get a RB and a safety in the 4th or with one of our three 5th Rounders

He wasn't...You never watched him play at all. Also the Rams were going to take him with the first pick in the 2nd round. Janoris would have been top 10 if he wasnt such a fuckup off the field. Hopefully he gets his shit together now that hes getting paid. |

What do you think of Hardin? meh, I cant say I paid enough attention to Hardin to give you a good idea, the Oregon State Secondary was beyond awful this year though, and he was a big reason for that (the shoulder injury) He gets injured a lot though, broken hand, broken shoulder, sprained wrist etc. Still, he is big, and was really probably always better suited as a safety, but Riley doesnt have the players not to put him outside. I think he could be a solid safety, but I dunno enough to project |

I only saw a couple of games last year so I don't have the most informed opinion. One fourth of this production came in one game so his stats are certainly inflated to a degree. Also, saying another team was going to pick him 2 picks later is irrelevant. The Bears were going to pick Mike Mitchell 2 or 3 picks later than the Raiders a few years ago. Was that a reach? Sometimes to get the player you want you have to take them higher than you should. It only takes one other team to drive a player into an unreasonably high draft position. If it is a player you really want, then you reach for them. I'm sure that is what happened to the 49ers here. Given the talent available at WR, taking a player that is likely to be available over a half round to a round later is a reach because even if he is drafted a similarly talented wr will still be on the board. You should only take him if you think he is going to be special. |
