I think Kaman was the obvious choice at 3, but I did think Darko could go at 4.

IMO, after the top 2, and I guess Kaman at 3, the next 4 guys were pretty equal. Howard, Hinrich, West, Darko. Could see any of em going 4 or 7.

Definitely.. I had a hard time ranking after 3 (I thought Kaman was easily 3rd as well)

He said there's 5 guys he liked better. That's fine with me. Means Darko was probably his 6th guy, I don't mind taking him a pick ahead of what's expected, he's a big and he's 18, and a great counterpart to Kaman imo.

Plus, the year age difference between him and Howard is a big deal. 5 years is an eternity.

Spence already said Darko wasn't a top 5 pick does that matter at all? spence said howard is a top 3 tossup, but there's plenty of room to debate that. as nova said, howard's 23, five (!) years older than darko, who plays a more important position. i'm sure spence would agree that even if there are five players he thinks are better than darko, it's still plenty acceptable to take darko 5th |
