Trevor Ariza SF 6'8" 200 UCLA Rookie RatingsB- C C B C B StrengthsAriza has great size for his position without sacrificing any of the necessary athleticism--anyone who's seen him throw down a tomahawk dunk can attest to that. He's a solid all around defender who should get a fair amount of steals and blocks, though I wouldn't expect him to fill up the stat sheet in either area. His biggest strength is that none of his weaknesses are beyond repair. WeaknessesAs of right now, his jumper is erratic and lacks range. He also lacks the handles to beat defenders off the dribble consistently, though he won't kill you with turnovers. Hustle will net him some rebounds, but he definitely needs to work on his positioning--especially on the defensive end. OutlookAriza has got plenty of work ahead of him if he hopes to start in this league. He's raw and needs to get stronger. His commitment to defense could potentially get him some minutes as a rookie, but a starting role is a while away, if at all.
