LJ was a very good player who as most athletes in NY are was overated.

He was a tweener as they say.
Not big enuff for PF and not quick enuff to stay with SF's.

Yea, he had injuries but against the premier PF's from what I recall he did'nt fare so well even before the injuries.
He made his living off the not so good ones.

And his stats were inflated because those Hornets teams were so bad.
I mean dont get me wrong I liked Grandma but he was overated.

And his stats were inflated because those Hornets teams were so bad. I mean dont get me wrong I liked Grandma but he was overated. Hornets werent that bad near the end of his run there. I thought LJ was a very good NBA player and the injuries did affect him quite a bit. |

Dont get me wrong, I liked Larry and I pulled for him big time since he's a Dallas homeboy.
But Larry was never close to an elite PF to me. He was a pretty good scorer and a pretty fair reb his first couple of yrs in the lg but on the defensive end he really kinda sucked. Was'nt big enuff to guard the McHale's,Malone's etc and not quick enuff to slide to SF.
