Name: Qyntel Woods
Birthdate: February 16, 1981
Position: SF/SG
Height: 6' 8"
Weight: 221
College: Northeast Mississippi Community College
Draft Ratings: Qyntel Woods B- C D+ C+ C A
Pros: Qyntel is a hell of an athlete, with a great vertical, and good strength. Has the ability to dominate lesser opponents, as shown by his 32.2 points 10 rebounds a game in college. Good rebounder for the SG position, and solid for SF. His athleticism will allow him to play both SG and SF's and will help him keep up with most players defensively, and his excellent size and length will help him even moreso in that regard. Very aggresive, taking the ball to the hoop and trying to overwhelm players with his athleticism. Has only been playing Basketball for four years, so his game is raw.
Cons: Where to begin? Woods is not really a smart basketball player, which leads to excessive turnovers, and mostly appears to be another athletic player with questions as to his skill and work ethic. Has not played at a level higher than a Mississippi Community College, where he could rely on his supreme athleticism to dominate, at the highest level though that may not translate as well.. His free throw shooting is marginal, and his outside game is meh as well, with a mediocre jump shot, and below average three point shot. Questions as to his behavior, and maturity abound. Also, keep him away from the dogs.
Outlook: Darius Miles 2.0, Qyntel is a boom or bust athletic prospect with questions about his maturity. Put up dominant stats at a lower level but has questions as to his outside game. Great size and length mean he could very well become an excellent defender, but turnover problems and his attitude will lead him to fall to the later lotto region at earliest.
Best Case Scenario:
A- B C- A- C+
More Reasonable:
