Zach Randolph
Position: Power Forward
Height: 6'9"
Weight: 260 pounds
Michigan State
"Did ya'll see..did ya'll see..we got Zach Randolph? Did anybody see that? You see the move Isaiah pulled off?? Did anybody see what Isaiah pulled off for the New York Knicks? Did anybody see what he did? We got Zach Randolph. So now we got a beast to throw the ball down low to..."
Strengths:
He's a beast and you can throw it down low to him. Seriously though, Zach Randolph has the talent and inside moves to be a 20+ PPG scorer in this league. He is near-dominant in the post when he chooses to be. He also has a solid mid-range shot and can nail the occasional three pointer. He knows how to use his large frame to his advantage and not many defenders have what it takes to stop him. He's also an exceptional rebounder. Randolph certainly has the capability to be an double-digit rebounder in the league.
Weaknesses:
He's often prone to dribbling outside of the three point line, losing his handle, and then throwing up an airball three pointer that would drive any coach (except Isaiah Thomas) absolutely insane. Like I said, one of his strengths is the ability to dominate when he chooses to do so. He doesn't always choose to do so. Randolph is a little bit of a head-case and does not always present himself as the ideal teammate. He doesn't really like to play defense - just doesn't seem to interest him all that much. He doesn't really get very many steals and just forget about him blocking a shot. He also doesn't really like passing very much.
Potential Role in BBS:
Randolph can undoubtedly be a 20/10 player for a long time in this league. He's entering the draft as a fairly polished product. He certainly isn't a franchise player but he could be a great starter in the right situation.
