Pros: With the growing influx of finesse centers and stretch 4's, Magloire is a throw back to a more brutal era. A lot of young posts are being taught to fade away or go around defenders. Magloire? If he gets the ball, he'll run through you, plain and simple. His post game is simple, he'd love nothing more than to dunk on someone every play. Comes into the league with an alright jumper and decent free throw shooting for a big man. Has a great nose for the ball on the glass, will put up nice rebounding numbers for many years.
Cons: He's a plodder, and is quite slow. Will not be able to handle athletic 5's at all. Has a penchant for fouling a lot due to his limited athleticism, he'll be hacking away to make up for it. Not a good shot blocker, but is able to hold his ground and contest against larger centers. Somewhat of a black hole when he catches it down on the block, partly due to his inability to recognize the double and pass out. Doesn't really draw a lot of fouls, he's either wide open and dunking, or he's fumbling the pass because he has stone hands.
Overall: He's an alright player, should be a serviceable starter for a long time because teams can always use a big body. Not sure if he'll develop into anything more, scouts are 50/50 on whether his game can get a lot better than it is now.
