1. McHale and Isiah had themselves quite a rookie season. What impressed you the most and what do you expect from them in their second year in BBS?
The most impressive thing to me was how they managed to get buckets but maintain really impressive shooting efficiency at the same time. Another thing that really jumped out at me is how they both take care of the ball rather well. This bodes well for the future as they'll probably end up as my top two options when I'm ready to compete. Next season, I'm pretty sure Zeke can hit 30 PPG and I'm hoping McHale improves that rebounding. With the acquisition of Buck, I'll probably be moving McHale to SF where I expect his scoring to flourish. I hate having historic post players like McHale playing SF and think it's really cheesy, but hey, if you can't beat em, join em.
2. For the second straight year the Grizz jump the draft!!! This time around you selected Buck Williams. Aar had him going 2nd in his mock draft but he goes 3rd to you. Is he the player you were targeting? Why? What do you expect from him this year?
Yup, as one of the worst rebounding teams in the league, I needed a rebounding and/or shot blocking post player and Buck gives me the former in spades. I thought about Larry Nance here as he projects to be a better shot blocker than Buck, but I don't think I could stomach that rebounding drop off. Not sure how Buck's shot blocking will end up, but I'm sure with a little AC and RC love he can get up to 2 BPG eventually. He probably won't end up being an option for me this season, so all I want from him is a double-double average on 45% FG. I see him eventually being a better version of what Rick Robey is right now.
3. The Grizz are stockpiling talent like a 5 star porn movie (what?)....Seems it may be getting to hard to tank with this team. What is the plan this year? FA targets? First winning season in Memphis since 2043?
I probably won't be able to properly tank regardless as Thomas and McHale will be way too good for that. I don't want to tip my hand regarding who I'll be going after in free agency, as if it wasn't obvious enough already. We'll see how it goes after free agency and training camp, if I get who I'm hoping to get and player development treats me well, we should be able to compete for a low playoff seed. If not, I'm fine with grabbing a late lotto pick and going into my CY as I will have a lot of assets to move.
4. Going back to the draft... MJ, I mean lol. What can we expect from him in his first year? At his prime? Is this fear? LOL
Sucks for yall in the East, that about sums up my thoughts on that. First year? Depends whether Jay puts him through camps right away, but I'll estimate 25 PPG 8 RPG 4 APG on 47% FG. Prime? I don't even wanna think about that. Thankfully I have one of the few other franchise players in the league so if we build a good enough team we might be able to withstand the eventual 40 PPG onslaught from the GOAT. I don't think Spenny knows what kind of monster he's unleashed on us all, to be honest. Jay is a good GM, just hope he doesn't start a dynasty on us.
5. I Know you drafted Buck but lets be unbiased lol Who do you think will be the second best player to come out of the draft AND who will be the biggest sleeper!?
Hard to tell. For now, I'll say Larry Nance looks like he'll probably be up there as a 20 PPG 10 RPG 3 BPG post in his prime on a good team. Rolando Blackman also looks like a really good scorer, but doesn't really offer much of anything else. What I dream for from Buck would be something like 15 PPG 14 RPG 2 BPG in his prime which would be really sick for us. Biggest sleeper would be Danny Ainge by far. I would've snapped him up easily at #9 but I already have the best PG in the league on my team so that would've been kinda redundant. But really though, Ainge should be a beast with low turnovers and great percentages, though I'm not sure if he'll shoot in volume like some other guards that have looked like him.
6. Repole just won his 6th title and he did it without Bingo and a team without a true "super-star". How impressed are you with this title run? How many more do you think he can win with this team and all the picks he has stocked up.... which include Thunder 2053, 2054, 2055 1sts
Hornets 2053, 2054, 2055, 2056 1sts LOL
Not impressed at all. Repole is a scrub. lol. But in all honesty, Repole is a great GM and he deserves his success because he has a plan and blueprint for his teams and sticks with it even if his constant use of the sad face smiley makes me want to strangle him. As for future success, once I'm ready to compete, he's not gonna win shit and you can bet that. And good luck to him building up a team to withstand MJ LOL
7. Jay just drafted MJ in his second year of tanking.... He's got Sidney on his team and thats about it. Its gonna be tough for him to tank with those 2 studs soooo, do you think Jay will have enough assets to build a good enough team around MJ?
Jay could do the bare minimum from here on out, and if he doesn't make any major mistakes, he will have a nice contender on his hands. That's how good I think MJ will be. That Jeff Ruland pick was really shitty last season, really handcuffs him with regards to what he can do in the future, but everyone else that turned out good would've been a reach at the spot save for Darrell Griffith so can't really blame Jay there. Bottom line though, Moncrief, Jordan, tons of cap space, and next season's Mavs pick is more than enough for Jay to work with to build something good.
8. Blazers were back in the Finals once again. KAJ seems to have declined a little but everyone else is still pretty young and good. Who do you see giving them the biggest trouble next year....? After the Grizz of course LOL
Don't really see any new team rising up to challenge them. I guess the Lakers, all their starters are in their prime. No other team comes close, not really much else to say about that.
9. The Wizards have under achieved with Bingo and Meng... What do you think their next move should be? Meng is 32 Scott 32 and Bingo 35... is it time for them to rebuild... AGAIN?!
At this point, they need to trade both for whatever they can get. I guess it was a solid gamble to pair these two up, but Bingo wasn't the world beater he once was when he was playing for Orlando. So yeah, dump off all their vets for rebuilding shit and hope for studs to declare in the next few drafts.
10. We also have the Pistons.... andy rebuilt and got into his CY. Everyone game him a hard time about always being mediocre and this year he managed to pull out only 44 wins. What do you think went wrong for andy? Why hasn't he been able to put a title team together in a very very long time.
I'm not entirely sure but I think Andy doesn't get very lucky with the lottery and the youth he drafts. For whatever reason, he never manages to win the lottery and the young bloods he does draft don't pan out the way you would need to build a legit contender.
11.Lets get a little bit rowdy... Who is the next GM to get CY/ get fired? WHO should be fired right now?!
I don't really see a team that's in that bad of a position. Most teams are either rebuilding or they're in playoff contention, and the rebuilding teams have youth and cap space to turn into good players. With a gun to my head, I'll probably say HF has the best shot of getting CY'ed if he doesn't manage his pick situation correctly and fails to start his rebuild soon enough. As for who should be fired... Charlotte GM should be on the chopping block for being so inactive lately and getting his lotto pick auto'ed.. That type of stuff just shouldn't be happening.
12. You're in the club getting your mack on.. you see a hot lady and you get a boner. Talk me thru your game and what you would do to get with this FINE ASS.
lol. make eye contact and smile. Don't wait too long to approach after that. In a club its gonna be loud so Ill act like I don't hear them and put an arm around their shoulder to whisper in their ear, its all about initiating physical contact. Generally don't go overboard in complimenting them and don't buy them a drink if you just met them or they will see you as their bitch. If you can dance, use that to your advantage bc most girls love that. If they are with friends bring them to a more secluded area of the club to talk your BS, make out if you want but I try not to. From there make your decision whether you wanna one night them or get their number and play it slower.
