This article breaks down each BBS team strictly by ratings. Statistics are not taken into account whatsoever. Additionally, this scale ranks only the top-12 players on each team.
Here is the scale:
F- = 1
F = 2
F+ = 3
D- = 4
D = 5
D+ = 6
C- = 7
C = 8
C+ = 9
B- = 10
B = 11
B+ = 12
A- = 13
A = 14
A+ = 15
For potential:
F = 1
D = 2
C = 3
B = 4
A = 5
Thus potential is given less of an emphasis, but still has an impact.

Observations:
- There is certainly an emphasis on swingmen with this scale, which will require revisions in the future
- Despite having players with great ratings, the Pacers are not in the playoffs.
- Randy Smith is the highest-ranked player who is essentially a journeyman
- Warren Jabali has great ratings, but his a huge liability to whoever has him (for the most part)
- Charlie Scott ranks very high ratings-wise, but doesn't have a ton of value around the league due to his turnover problems
- Willie Davis has the same score as Joe Bryant, Rowland Garrett and Dan Hester
- Mike Glenn scored lower than John Kuester, Ron Williams and Mal Graham
- Jim McMillian scored lower than Bob Dandridge, who was just added as an FA in a deal, as well as Ollie Darden
- Otis Birdsong scored a 52 and is ranked below John Long and Russ Lee
- If Magic was listed at PG, he'd already be the top PG (tied) on this list
