EDIT: Now with a bonus 4 guys because I missed a few!
Missed the cut:
Norm Van Lier PG 31 6'1'' 173 B- A A+ A- C D - Production isn't really elite, and at 31 his value is probably slipping.
Charlie Scott SF 29 6'5'' 175 A- A- A B+ B- C - Notoriously turn over prone.
Tom Boswell SF 25 6'9'' 220 B+ B+ C- B+ A- A - The Charlie Scott of bigs. He's still young, but doubt he has a ton of value around the league.
John Block PF 34 6'9'' 207 B C C- A- A D - Old.
Walt Hazzard PG 36 6'2'' 191 C+ A A- A- C- D - Really old.
Wil Jones SF 31 6'8'' 205 A- B+ C+ A B- C - Iffy offensively
Norm Nixon PG 23 6'2'' 170 B- B A- A- D- B - Hasn't shown much yet.
Rich Kelley C 25 7'0'' 235 C+ C D- A- B+ B - Top 10 on Greeme's list.
T.R. Dunn SG 23 6'4'' 192 A- C C A C+ B - #1 on Greeme's list.
Mike D'Antoni PG 27 6'3'' 185 B- A- A- A C- C - Solid ratings, but pretty average production.
World B. Free SG 24 6'2'' 185 A- A B+ B D+ B - Nice looking ratings, but the production has sort of sucked, and he's expiring.
Gus Gerard PF 25 6'8'' 200 B- B B- A- B+ B - Nice role player type, and pretty looking ratings, but the production isn't anything special.
John Lucas PG 25 6'3'' 175 C A- A- A- D- B - Nice handles, nice mid range shot, the rest is pretty meh.
Larry Jones SG 36 6'2'' 183 A- A D+ A- C+ D - The age and contract just make it tough.
Fred Carter SG 33 6'3'' 185 B+ B+ B- A+ C D - Still productive, but not much of a volume guy, and getting older
Caldwell Jones C 28 6'11'' 217 B C C A+ B C - Nice defensive player and shot blocker who isn't going to hurt you anywhere else.
Willie Davis PF 33 6'8'' 234 B C C- A- B+ C - Still absolutely love Willie's game, but he's getting a bit older and expires unfortunately.
Darnell Hillman PF 29 6'9'' 215 A- C D A B B - Hillman belongs in the top 50 IMO, but league wide I think his value is lower than it should be due to his contract previously being a bit of albatross.
Walt Frazier PG 33 6'4'' 200 B A- A A C- C - The percentages aren't great and his volume is mediocre, he's obviously still a quality starter, but doubt he'd fetch more than a couple meh firsts at this point.
George Carter SF 34 6'4'' 210 A- C C- A C+ C - His value probably isn't as high as it should be, awesome production. He's 34 though
George McGinnis SF 28 6'8'' 235 A- B+ C+ A B+ B - He has value around the league it seems, I don't think he should, but he does. He turns it over, doesn't shoot especially well, and isn't an out of this world stats defender.
Artis Gilmore C 29 7'2'' 240 B C C- A- A- C - Nice shot blocker and rebounder, the turnovers suck though.
Dave Bing PG 34 6'3'' 180 B A A- A- C- D - Age is an issue, but still an excellent player.
Rick Robey C 22 6'11'' 230 B- C C- B+ A B - A young John Block.
Rick Barry SG 34 6'7'' 208 A- A B B+ C+ D - Based on Habes inability to move any of his guys, I have to assume they have low value, right?
Ricky Sobers PG 25 6'3'' 198 B- A- B+ A- C- C - The turnovers are a real problem. Does he ever become even an average starter?
Don Buse PG 28 6'4'' 190 C+ A- C+ B+ C- D - The ratings probably will scare more people away than they should.
54. Allan Bristow SF 27 6'7'' 210 C+ A+ C C+ C+ C
The most valuable part of Bristow is the contract. He's on a real bargain deal, and with his high percentage shooting and rebounder he offers a lot of value. His defense is pretty rough and he's not likely to make any big strides from this point, but he's definitely got some value.
53. Robert Hawkins SG 24 6'4'' 190 C+ A+ C+ C+ C A
The offseason wonder, Hawkins received a few MAX offers and ultimately settled for three years. He looks like a nice shooter, but doesn't really seem to do much else. His first bunch of TCs alone probably has everyone convinced he had 100 potential though, and that alone will keep his value high.
52. Dan Issel SF 30 6'9'' 235 A- B C B- A- D
It looks like he's started an early decline, which is concerning, but he's still really, really productive. The scoring and rebounding is just so valuable, regardless of how mediocre the ratings are starting to look.
51. Rudy Tomjanovich SF 29 6'8'' 218 A C+ C A B- B
His ratings just look so pretty with that A inside and A defense. But the productoin isn't great, he's 29, and he's expiring. But I think the ratings alone give him some value around the league, so I couldn't entirely overlook him.
(couldn't find his image?)
50. James Hardy PF 21 6'8'' 220 B+ C C- A- C+ B
He's like a Willoughby with less upside based on preseason. Solid looking player and a nice pick by CC, the main key for him is how much upside he has left, but he should certainly have value around the league. Only weakness is the mediocre rebounding, which should hopefully get some AC/RC love.
49. Michael Cooper SF 22 6'5'' 170 B B- B- A- C+ A
Eh, Cooper's a bit of a tough cookie to crack value wise. He started with notoriously average ratings across the board, and has improved a good bit all around, but his TCs haven't been earth shattering. He's shown some signs of being a stats defender, and if his development continues there he'll have real value, but it's hard to imagine him being a big time scorer. His upside is probably similar to the 20ppg version of ML Carr, but he'll have to have a bit of luck to get there. About as big of a wildcard prospect as you'll find around.
48. Rick Roberson PF 31 6'9'' 231 A- C C- B- B+ D
He falls in this group of guys who are getting a bit older but are still terrifically productive. Not sure how much longer he can keep it up, but he's been a rock for Jah and the Jazz.
47. Bill Robinzine SF 25 6'7'' 230 A- A- C- A- C+ C
His ratings look nice, but we haven't really seen a ton of production because he's on a team that doesn't need him to score. It's hard to know just what he's capable of, resulting in his value not being as high as it potentially could be.
46. Steve Mix SF 30 6'7'' 215 A- C C- B- B+ D
54% shooting as a second option is as impressive as it gets, and while he's not a great defender at SF, he's an excellent rebounder. Not sure how he'd do in a balanced or outside offense, so he may be a bit of a system player, but he works great as a SF in an inside offense.
45. Jo Jo White SG 31 6'3'' 190 B- A+ B- A- C C
Excellent scorer, his career has had some ups and downs, but he looks to have settled in as a premier scorer who can defend a bit but doesn't do a ton else. If you need points though and can afford him, JoJo's a great fit. He should give the Spurs a big lift this year.
44. Butch Beard SG 31 6'3'' 185 A- C C- A+ C+ C
Getting a bit older, but his production is just so awesome. By default I have to rank him near JoJo White, so this is where he ends up, but if you're running an inside offense and need a bit of defense on the side, there's no way you can't love Beard.
43. Andre McCarter PG 25 6'3'' 190 C+ A- A- A- D+ D
-If he's shooting the ball well he's a valuable PG. If he's not, eh. He's a nice defender though, gets a good amount of steals, and doesn't turn the ball over. I'm not sure what the MAX contract does to his value though, because frankly there's just no chance he's worth 21 million in that 7th year.
42. Foots Walker PG 27 6'0'' 172 C+ A- A- B C D
He's a rock solid point guard, puts up nice percentages, rebounds, gets steals, and for the most part, keeps the turnovers in check. When you think of what you want in a PG, Foots fits the bill nearly perfectly. The contract is justified, but still ensures that he's not as valuable as some cheaper options.
41. Bernie Fryer PG 28 6'3'' 185 C+ A B A- C B
So I sort of grouped these point guards in the same area, because there isn't a ton to differentiate between them, but I think Fryer's the best of the bunch. A bit better of a defender (other than steals) and shooter than Foots, solid rebounder as well, really just a rock as a PG. He's three years older than McCarter, but I think the extra rebounding and not having the huge contract comittment make him more valuable.
