HERE WE GO!!!! SKILLZ GOING HARD BK STYLE! LETS GOOOO!
1. You don't have your pick this and you have gone around saying you WILL win 42 games. You currently sit at 13-14, traded Beard and have a negative point differential. Why do you think you will still win 42?
Well, to be honest, I wasn't as confident as I was before. A lot of it was just talk to try and intimidate deebs to get my pick back. I still think we have a chance--mainly because we have a shitload of defenders and we can capitalize on tanking teams when we're healthy. I also can make a mean DC if i don't say so myself.
2. You have always shown a lot of interest in Buse since the day he was drafted. Now that you have him, what are your thoughts on him? Where do you plan on giving him some ACs and how good do you think he can be? Give me some ratings and stats! #BK
I think he's great. Dude is a terrific defender and is a top 5 defensive PG in the league when you factor in steals and blocks, and his draft notes said he was a pretty good perimeter defender as well. I was planning on AC'ing his handles because he seems TO prone, but his handles are over 85 so I guess he's just had a rough start to the season. I'll upgrade his inside, three, and maybe strength if i get another AC. I see him as a B- A B- B C- C type at best. And with those ratings, probably 18 ppg 8 apg 4 rpg 2+ steals and 1 block. <2.5 to's as a 2nd or 3rd option. Good stuff.
3. Is there a player on your roster that you will like to keep through your rebuild in the next few years?
I'd like to keep Buse and maybe Bristow. Or at least get their value to the point where I can trade them for an actual rebuilding offer. No point in just letting them go.
4. Everyone seems to have a different opinion on who should go first in this years draft... in your opinion who should be the top 3 picks!?
1. Copper
2. Sickma
3. King
I think Cooper is gonna be great. If he has potential, the dude will fill it up and Spence spoke highly of him in his notes. Sickma too had good notes, and even though he can't block, i don't mind an outside big as long as his strength/inside is, which appears to be the case. I think King will be the most dominant scorer of the three (thinking A inside, 30 ppg) but there are a lot of dominant inside guys who can't do much else. Bernard will be a rich man's version of that player, but he isn't unique.
5. You currently have the Hornets pick which stands at 9 overall? Lets assume it stays there... who do you have your eye on? Also, where do you think that pick will actually be at the end of the year and, if lower, which player will you be looking at.
I'm not going to name names....why would I do that? . But I'll be looking for a big or a wing, because I feel like Buse looks to be our PG of the future. I think the pick will probably be 14-15, which doesn't bother me much; the players are all pretty much the same around that range. I need a STEAL!
6. We go hard in BK everyone knows THAT. You were ranked 5th overall in Martys GM Rankings... Tell us why you are better that Broph Aaron and DJ.
Broph--He's a good GM, but he's conventional in that he tends to have to rebuild to be great. Very good talent/value evaluator, but his elite spells too far and in between if I'm making the case for me>broph.
Aaron--Aaron and I essentially have the same GM style, I've just done it better in this version. We deal all of our futures, are reckless, are not afraid to lose value to win titles, and can build an elite team. However, I think he's been even more inconsistent than I've been and his down-years happen more often and for longer periods of time. Regular season success doesn't compare.
DJ--This is an easy one. I have more regular season wins, playoff wins, better regular season win %, far better playoff win %, more finals appearances, the same number of championships, am more active, am easier to trade with, and don't have to rely on 1 rape every ten seasons to maintain legitimacy.
7. Repole and Play are 1 and 2 no doubt. Tell us your next 5 GMs and what you like about their GMing style and what they could improve on.
This will probably piggy back on the last question, but sure. Excluding me:
3. Broph--I respect GM's who think a lot about what they are doing and Broph always has a plan of action and has had proven success in the league. I think he knows more about FBB than most, and he's pretty much good in every facet. He doesn't have much of a weakness, but he's really only won with inside teams and overvalues his guys. Often afraid to make a big trade because he's so focused on sticking to his agenda.
4. Aar--Aar is a tricky one because I think he has the most potential to win titles outside of play/repole. He can definitely build an elite team, and when he gets there, he's great. But I'd say aar trades in circles (underratedly) as much, if not more, than Habes and I. Super inconsistent with regular season success and more indecisive now than I remember him being in the past. He also asks GM's for advice more than a good GM should.
5. Nanz--Had proven success in the past and now is experiencing it again. When I did GM rankings, I almost forgot about this. But yea, Nanz can build a great team and doesn't do my offers that are often shitty for him...but he's nice when he declines. If there was a weakness, he's tentative until he knows he can be elite.
6. Habes--Generally gets the better hand of most Knicks-Thunder deals, so there's that. Whenever the Thunder are good, they are usually really good. Thunder had some 60 win teams that could have been better, and OKC really has had its share of elite teams. Obviously Habes is inconsistent, but yea, top tier gm.
7.?- DBW, UK, DJ, or Jordan could fill the void. I don't think anyone else compares to the guys I named.
8. Rank the following GMs: CC GAME HeatFlash Marty and Andy. Give us some insight as to why you ranked them the way you did. #GOHARD #BK
1. Marty--He's learning. He really knows how to rebuild. He relies on Spence too much and asks for advice (really doesn't trust his opinion....i'll make him a great offer, he'll decline, then accept the next day) but he's getting better. Consistently better than the rest of the list.
2. HF--Another GM who is getting better. I think he's also too tentative at times and needs to send his own offers, but these are not an elite core of GM's I'm choosing between.
3. CC--Though if I'm being true to myself I take Andy over him, results in BBS can't justify that. CC has won, I just don't approve of his GM'ing style. IT's not real.
4. GAME--Again, if i were selecting a GM to takeover the Knicks, Andy wins but results in this version....GAME wins.
5. Andy--Hopefully he gets a real rebuilds, gets lucky in the lotto, and comes back to relevancy.
9. Who would you rather have right NOW! and who has more value: Kermit Washington VS Bill Walton.
Walton for sure. I never thought Kermit would live up to the "A" potential he was showing for years because Spence said he started him with meh potential. Walton is better from the mid range, and though Kermit's rated better on D, they are both stud defenders.
10. Not too long ago you said DBW was one of, if not, the most overrated GM in the league... Do you still feel that way? Why? After him/if not him Who is the most overrated GM RIGHT NOW! #BK
That got blown out of proportion. Basically I said everyone I knew was properly rated from my standpoint and DBW had been mediocre lately. That said, DBW has been a douche giving me my pick back and should have taken Beard and traded him for rebuilding stuff (#dumb). Anyway DJ is definitely the most overrated after the last batch of gm rankings. Just because he's had a good stretch doesn't make him any better than he was 10 seasons ago.
11. You know what to do here! This is the part of BK WE GO HARD! where you need to pick 2 GMs to be your wingmen! YOU NEED PUSS!!!!
Also, you see this GM sleeping on the streets... he has always annoyed the shit out of you so you t-bag the shit out of him! WHO IS THE ONE WITH YOUR BALLS ON HIS FACE!!
YEEE. I'm going Nanz+Biggie on the wingman. Nanz because this is finally a good interview and he seems excited! Biggie because a good wingman has to make me look good, and Biggie would definitely do that (sorry bigs...i don't know you awk)
I'd T-Bag Martinez for sure.
YOU PICK NANZ! YOU GET PUSS NO DOUBT!

THIS IS WHAT IS COMING TO MARTYS FACE! #BKGOHARD
12. We have always wanted to play some ball.... Give us some insight into your game as a BALLER! What would your ratings be and what kind of stats would you be putting up! #BKSTYLE
hahaha I'd probably be the guy with the solid ratings, who played way below them! I always played point guard and was a pretty tall point guard before I stopped playing. Could block+steal (played down low in our zone back in the day), turned the ball over a shit ton and liked to pass. Really mediocre shooter too! Let's go with B C+ B A- C A (I'll take that potential). If i were in BBS i'd be putting up 15 points 8 assists 5 boards 1 steal 1 block and 5-6 to's per game and 40%/65%/35% YE!!
BALLER!!!!!
'NOUGH SAID. GOOD NIGHT!
