1. You are 8-13. What's the plan for the foreseeable future?
Win. Plain and simple. I like the team we have now, sort of. I kind of got fucked over first DC but since then we kind have been hovering around 500. I really need to make the playoffs this year it is pretty imperative that I do so. I have my CY coming up next year and it would be so great to get a fresh restart. Just get me to the playoffs please.
2. What's the price going for on Dave Bing?
Nothing. Other than C.C a while a back I have received nothing for him and quite frankly I don't see any type of deal as of this moment where I would deal him. No one has really inquired about him.
3. Do you feel like your players don't get enough love? I mean, the trade block has been fairly empty.
The fact that the person with the most value on my team as of writing has played 11 games in the last two seasons averaging a whopping 1.1 PPG in 6 minutes is frighting. I feel like Denton gets absolutely no love and if people have been monitoring him he plays like an absolute beast at the 4. Outside of that, Bing maybe, what do I have that somebody doesn't have already?
I am not expecting much for my players, absolutely shocked that no GM's have tried going for my picks in the 50's right now. I know contracts might be hard but it is astonishing to me that only one GM has inquired about my picks. I'm looking at it saying "where the fuck is this franchise going?" It kinda sucks too because I am looking to deal them and no one is answering.
The fact that my trade block is empty really makes the league suck for me too. Especially during this time when I went from my grandfather's death, Mid Term Week, Graduation Week and then trying to say goodbye my friends and stuff. The past couple months I could only do so much and it's depressing that my block has been a ghost town.
4. You've had 2 winning seasons in 6 overall as the Grizzlies GM. How good of a job do you believe you've done?
Fine. Not as bad as it looks on paper but I really have been fucked seven ways to Sunday here with some bad luck. Issel and Murphy for Bing and Marin trade really fucked me. I thought Murphy was really that bad from a defensive, TO and rebounding standpoint. Bing was never as good as he was when he was in NYK and I guess I overrated Marin. The biggest issue with this was the Portland-Milwaukee GM switch and that fucking stuck a knife in my back. If there is any reason to hate on the GM swapping mine would be the perfect example.
It was inferred by Broph that I could get my picks back for Denton since Broph valued him so high. When Broph left and AAR was in the middle of a rebuilding stage my escape rope went with it as well as AAR had no interest (or didn't let me know about it) in Denton. So yeah....that fucking sucked. Things kind of just snowballed to hell from there.
5. Your activity lately has been lacking. Do you feel that will be a concern going down the road?
Potentially. The last three weeks have been really rough as I mentioned earlier. Summer, historically has been a very rough patch for me over the years when it relates to BBS. I am really not up to date as I would like to be with what is going on right now but I am trying to get back in the loop. It's just extremely tough when you have no interest coming from GM's in your guys. Sucks a lot of activity out of you. Time will tell.
6. You've been ranked 12 in the latest GM ranking. Why should you be higher?
Meh, generous. I am a staunch opponent of GM rankings just because I feel like they roll with who is hot and who isn't at the time of publication. Overall through my tenure in BBS I would say that is a fair but I don't see myself any higher TBH. I always have myself 13-15, maybe in the 10 area when I am really devoted to the league. Right now it might be tough to recognize but this team has underperformed so much that I am kind of losing it.
7. Who's in the pig's fave 5? Current GM wise.
Hmm. I don't know. I always feel good when Styro quotes one of my comments and goes "lmao." I always feel real good when I get one of those so he has to be there. Blue is obviously up there as well. Guy probably wants too shoot himself after all the bad beat stories. I have to say Andy just because I steal all his gif's and send them to girls on Twitter in attempt to get laid (First Stage) I play them off as my own and some of them make some girls "lol." I like Hype a lot too. Seems like a genuine cool dude. I really like Greg as well because he always seemed to have this "I'm a fucking cowboy I am going to go beat your ass" type image. Maybe back in his glory days. Seems like he has mellowed up over the years, but I can definitely see him chugging some Pabst shooting off a shotgun in the back of a truck.
There are a lot of people I like for different reasons. Can't really give you a definite five.
8. Speaking of which, name me some old time GM's you miss and which shitty GM's should they replace?
Fucking crazy Aaron from Canada was probably the only person who had the most insane stories I have ever heard in my life. I guess it was BBS2? I just thought it was insane(I'd like Ed back as well) when he disappeared from the league and then came back like 3 weeks later telling us he got stabbed in the back outside his apartment and was in the hospital for all that time. That guy was nuts. He should replace CC. Not that I dislike CC (I do with a passion), but only because the only stories he probably ever tells his buddies are probably about how he quoted "Sim" 3 million times on a message board. Sorry CC but I don't think you're the next coming of Aesop.
I think we should replace Jah with D2ACollectables and see if anyone notices.
Bill Bendernagel was a crazy asshole as well. Guy drunk called me when I was a senior in high school and wouldn't shut the hell up. Switch him with one of the new guys because quite frankly I don't know who these new guys are anyway. I find myself missing the Mookie Blaylock Atlanta Tribune articles from time to time

I haven't had the shooters to pull it off in quite some time but I really don't care if I lose games just let me put up 165 and I'll be content.
10: Which team has the brightest future going for them right now? and which has the ugliest?
Well the Grizzlies future looks pretty fucking bad right now unless Bill Willoughby is the reincarnation of Bingo Smith. I haven't really been focusing on shit outside of my team for right now so I can accurately assess who has the brightest future. AAR is always rebuilding so I am just going to take a shot in the dark and say him.

Wow blast from the past. It was actually really fun until we realized Ashes was the simmer and then it fucked sucked because Ashes simmed as frequently as DJ posting something unrelated to BBS. That was right around the time you disappeared from the league right? Remember that Andy? And we all got worried something might of happened to you. Turned out you were playing Xbox and watching porn. The nerve....
13. Favorite NBA team and how's it looking for next season?
Meh, I liked the Warriors for a long time but I've slowly shifted over to the Knicks. Traveling all over the country and being away at home I felt like you kind of need to root for at least one home team. A piece of of home when you are gone I guess.. I like Memphis a little as well living an hour away but Memphis fans are awful. Last year during the playoffs half of them didn't even know who Rudy Gay was (sigh).
14. How was graduation?
Bittersweet. I had a good weekend I guess. Nothing really too out of the ordinary except the usual lack of self esteem girls screaming and crying about bullshit, creating havoc with each step they take. This one girl decided to do a strip show at my buddies house which was kinda nice because she is pretty hot. She's also the

I have no idea. I have to think. BBS is usually my venting place so I put a lot of them on here. I don't keep track of what has been told and what hasn't.
Pardon to common belief I am extremely mellow guy when I am drinking out in public. I know my limits and really stick to them so I am never really that belligerent when I'm at the bars and stuff. I never drink any hard liquor before I go out to the bar and I only have real problems when I day drink. I am not the guy to pick fights or be sloppy shit all over a bar, I think a lot to do with that is our bars close at midnight and 1 AM (twice a week) Almost all my stories come from late nights or behind close doors with friends and stuff. I am just a really blunt individual who has a tendency to get extremely loud and shit just snowballs from there. A lot of these stories I tell are "cause and effect" scenarios rather than me being some drunken pariah lurking the streets with a voraciously looking for drama.
