Yeah beating Napoli, Benefica, Barcelona, and Bayern is meh

Congrats on the results but your team looked far from impressive in any of the those matches except for the second Napoli game. Say what you want, but i think they were the luckiest team in Europe. Hazard should add some quality to your squad but don't pretend that Chelsea was very good last year.

First off, the results are all that matter. Who is going to really talk about how the trophys were won in 5 years? At the end of the day, Chelsea had a better year by winning two trophies.
Second, if you don't think Chelsea looked impressive in any game but the second Napoli game, you obviously didn't watch the Benfica games. They weren't dominant but they outplayed Benfica at home and controlled 60 to 70 minutes at Benfica.
As for the other games, do you think Chelsea was trying to look impressive? They obviously were not. The entire game plan against Barcelona was to rely on our great defense and Petr Cech. Chelsea had no shot to win if they tried to play the game with the field spread. No team outside of Real Madrid does. Chelsea executed its gameplan by playing good defense, utilizing their huge size advantage, and leaving Barcelona to shoot from outside the 18 which it cannot do well enough if the box is packed. While it may not be pretty, it was what they had to do to win. Was Chelsea lucky? Absolutely, but they did what they had to win.
Also, beating Barcelona for 45+ minutes and a man down is impressive regardless of how you do it.
Should Chelsea had been at full strength for the final, they would have run a different gameplan. They once again did what they had to do to win.

I will admit that Chelsea had a better year than Arsenal, but I wouldn't of made that statement until they won the CL. Before than, I would've taken Arsenal's year.
