Bored. Have some time to write up a quick article, cool.
1. Washington Wizards -
Walt Frazier PG 6'4'' 200 22 B C+ B A- C A
Walt Frazier PG 22 6'4'' 200 B B- B+ A- C A
+2 TC for Walt Fraizer, was pretty obvious he would go #1 and after the first TC he still looks like the clear #1 pick. With a few RC's/AC's this guy will be really nice. After preseason he averaged 20/9, didn't shoot too well and had a lot of TO's but he'll only get better.
2. Charlotte Bobcats (Now on Wolves) -
Mel Daniels PF 6'9'' 220 23 C+ B D+ C B- A
Mel Daniels C 23 6'9'' 220 B- B D C+ B+ A
+4/-1 TC for Mel Daniels, He really looks like he could be a stud. 3.5 blocks per game in the preseason and he shot pretty well. I am sure he has plenty of potential left to become a 18/10 type of player maybe better especially with camps. Love this pick for Charlotte, was kind of bummed he didn't fall to me @ #3.
3. Indiana Pacers -
George Carter SF 6'4'' 210 23 A- C C A C+ B
George Carter SF 6'4'' 210 23 A- C C- A C+ B
-1 for George Carter, thankfully it was only handles he dropped in. Wasn't expecting much from him anyway as he was the most ready player coming out of the draft. With some camps he should be a pretty good player though, not sure if hes a 2, 3 or 4 though really. Didn't get many minutes in preseason.
4. Detroit Pistons (Now on Wizards) -
Bob Rule C 6'9'' 220 23 B C C B B A
Bob Rule C 23 6'9'' 220 B C C B B- B
-1 for Bob Rule, meh this kind of sucks. Rule had good notes and he does nothing his first TC. Hopefully most of his potential is still there. Nothing too impressive from preseason either.
5. Atlanta Hawks -
Earl Monroe SG 6'3'' 185 22 B B C+ C C A
Earl Monroe SG 22 6'3'' 185 B- B+ B- C+ C A
+3/-1 TC for Earl Monroe. Monroe had one of the nicest TC's and looks like he could have gone up at #3 or 4. He should be a nice scorer in this league in a few seasons. Great %'s in preseason shooting 47 FG, 89 FT, 50 3PT.
6. Boston Celtics -
Phil Jackson C 6'8'' 220 22 B C B- A- B- B
Phil Jackson SF 22 6'8'' 220 B C C+ A B A
+2/-1 TC for Phil Jackson. I really liked Jackson but didn't want to take him too early, but he looks like one of the better players after this TC. He had a pretty decent preseason, looks like a clutch FT shooter and a great all around defender.
7. Detroit Pistons -
Jimmy Walker SG 23 6'3'' 195 C+ A- C C D+ A
Jimmy Walker SG 23 6'3'' 195 C+ A- C+ C D B
+1/-1 for Jimmy Walker. Meh im not sure why people had him so high on their draft boards he didn't look very good. Jimmy Jones looked much better at #7. Anyway, not sure if he will be any more than a backup here, we'll see I guess.
8. Houston Rockets -
Jimmy Jones PG 22 6'4'' 188 B B B- C C A
Jimmy Jones PG 22 6'4'' 188 B+ B+ B+ C C A
+4 TC for Jimmy Jones. This guy looks awesome, not much of a defender but he is great offensively for a rookie. Should be a fun player for Houston, camp his scoring to make him even more of an offensive threat.
9. Detroit Pistons -
Louie Dampier PG 22 6'0'' 170 C+ B+ C+ C+ D A
Louie Dampier PG 22 6'0'' 170 C+ A- B C+ D+ A
+4 TC for Louie Dampier. ANOTHER nice TC for a later pick in the early first round. Really like this guy as well. Had a nice preseason averaging 10/4 in only 17 minutes , but he didnt shoot great so he probably threw up shots.
10. New Orleans Hornets -
Arvesta Kelly PG 22 6'2'' 175 B C B- A C+ B
Arvesta Kelly PG 22 6'2'' 175 B C C+ A C C
-2 TC for Avesta Kelly. I hate it when rookies have negative TC's but shit happens. Kelly played one game in the preseason and put up 24 points in 18 minutes on crazy percents, maybe he can be something for the Hornets.
11. Oklahoma City Thunder -
Pat Riley SG 22 6'4'' 205 B C C- A- C- A
Pat Riley SG 22 6'4'' 205 B C+ C A C- A
+3 TC for Pat Riley. He improved in some catagories that he needed to improve in. Another good defensive player in this lotto. Didn't play too many minutes in the preseason so its hard to tell what he does well at. Should be a sick 6th man with camps, could even start.
12. Toronto Raptors -
Bob Netolicky C 25 6'9'' 220 B+ C+ C- B B C
Bob Netolicky PF 25 6'9'' 220 A- C+ C- B- B+ C
+2/-1 TC for Bob Netolicky. Fuck this guy can score... probably the biggest steal in the draft. Kind of reminds me of Jim Davis for me a few seasons ago. Great draft pick for Dj. Averaged 22/9 in preseason damn son.
13. Portland Trailblazers -
Dale Schlueter C 21 6'10'' 225 B- C C- B+ B B
Dale Schlueter C 21 6'10'' 225 B- C C- B B A
-1 TC for Dale Schlueter. Pretty much expected him to not change or decline. Still a solid bench guy for Blazers right now, can do a little of everything.
1. Washington Wizards -
Walt Frazier PG 6'4'' 200 22 B C+ B A- C A
Walt Frazier PG 22 6'4'' 200 B B- B+ A- C A
