I'm not surprised at this happening. After 6 years of fighting, it had to be imminent with his resignation in August. He turned a bad tech company into the largest market cap in the world (briefly). It will be interesting to see where they go from here. For a guy that cared so much about innovation, you know he had to planned far into the future for apple. Hopefully, they can execute it all

I really feel like apple will be fine product wise for the foreseeable future. The company is going to be very stable and continue to experience worldwide growth. However, without Steve I don't see them being the innovator that they always have been. They won't be the company to release the next iPod or iPad. Instead, the company will just continue to focus on its own self promotion that it is incredible at
