Let me know if i'm forgetting anyone. Feel like i'm missing 1 or 2 guys.
Observations:
-The center position is pretty non-descript. It's probably the most akin to what you'd see in real life--a few dominant guys, some borderline all-stars, and one-dimensional depth.
-As a whole, I'd probably say center is the weakest position in the league from top to bottom.
-Wilt Chamberlain (1) is undoubtedly the best center in the league, and probably could become the best player in the league sometime soon. 23/13/4 is pretty sick considering Wilt is shooting 50% from the field. However, you'd like to see the big man scoring at an even more dominant volume
-Even though Evqn Dickerson (2) is having one of his worst seasons as a pro, he's still the second best center, which says a little bit about the position. Aside from Wilt, he's the best two-way center we have.
-There's no question that Bill Russell (3) is a franchise center, but there is now a growing debate as to whether Russ will ever truly be a superstar. He's a defensive beast, but his lack of offensive improvement should be a little concerning for CC. Russell should received every freebie RC, AC, etc. that CC ever gets to make him a dominant force offensively.
-Rudy LaRusso (6) is going to be sick. He has no flaws and will be an elite center for a long, long time.
-After Larusso, the centers turn into mostly one-dimensional defenders. Randy Sinclair (7) is still poor offensively. Maurice Stokes (8), Andre Drummond (11), titus Alexander (12), Wally Dukes (14), Ryan Miller (15), and Larry Davidson (19) are all nice players to have in outside-oriented systems to block shots and defend.
-Center is definitely the position with the least offense as a whole. Wilt is the best scorer among centers, and he isn't even a top 15 scorer in the league at this point. Maybe we need some more A D+ C B- C+ C types? We seem to have a lot of defensive bigs already.
-Who do i think is underrated? Durrell Valentine (5) and AR (10). Valentine doesn't block shots but can score in any offense and is a dominant rebounder. AR is a great fit on any team with rebounding already.
