1. Do you feel like you are better than the Houston Rockets and Dallas Mavericks? Do you see yourself in the Finals again? Aar-I feel that I'm still a move away.
The Rockets have put together a tremendous system and right now, I think that I might be a step behind them.
I have a nicer roster than both teams, but that's not what it's about. It's about winning and winning consistently.
I really need to shore up my team's defense before I can be a true contender.
While I may not be better than the Rockets, I think that we could beat the Mavericks in a seven game series whether we have the home advantage or not. The Rockets, though, will be a tough out in the West.Me- Pretty sure Aar moved up a spot with Greg trading away Perry Jones, while I can understand he has played well without Perry it's still a very poor move considering Perry could probably single handedly win a game himself. 2. How did you really feel about Spencer forgetting to input your DC after waiting nearly 6 hours for Play to submit a DC he probably left the same anyways? Aar-I felt horrible. It was one of the few times that my stomach sunk due to something that's happened in a sim. It was like losing a blue chip free agent to another team multiplied by three.
However, I know how hard Spencer works on this league and he does it for us, the GMs and at the end of the day, it was a mistake that couldn't be erased.
Spencer owned up to it, showed contrition and gave me three freebie RCs. He didn't even really need to do that.
Not only do I feel bad for myself and Spencer that it happened, but also for Play because he had a damn good team that probably would have won anyhow and now people are questioning the validity of the championship. That's unfair. Me-Meh don't feel bad for Play he talks so much mess he probably firmly belies he would have won no matter what. Play got lucky and he knows it which is why he's watching his mouth of late lol3. Hollis, Knight, Francis. Do you think that's the best 3,2,1 combo in the league? Aar-Definitely the best backcourt in the league and it will be interesting to see if we could handle the frontcourt tandem of O'Mara and Sjoberg if it came to that in the finals. Then we'd see what's more important, a stellar backcourt of a dominant frontcourt.
I love this trio, but we may not go into the playoffs with it in tact. I feel like there's some redundancies and that every game, one of the three struggles.
That said, I also love my frontcourt of Foust, Raskauskas and Thorpe. I'd put them up against anyone else's frontcourt regardless of how the rest of my team looks.4. If BBS re-started today in this current year and it were a creation draft who would be the top 5 players chosen? (Wilt Chamberlain Draft Class included) Aar-1) Bill Russell 2) Wilt Chamberlain 3) Dean Hollis 4) Bradley Barker 5) Purnell Jackson
In that order and it didn't take me long to make that list.Me-Obviously bias plays a role but I don't consider Dean Hollis in top 5 discussion. To me it's Russell, Chamberlain, Baylor, Barker, Dickerson easily.5. If someone offered you a million dollars for a night of sex, would you do it? Would it matter if the person were good looking or not? Would it make a difference if it was sex with a guy and not a girl? Aar-Unless it was my wife, no. Money can't buy you happiness.
I think that having a lot of money and possessions is one of the biggest misconceptions in today's society. Happiness is found internally.6. Which GM do you find is the most difficult to deal with when negotiating a trade? Aar-DJ and I have no clue why. The guy just doesn't seem to like dealing with me, so we usually never come close to making something happen.
It's not a knock on him, it's just confusing.Me- DJ sucks so who cares7. You can replace 3 GMs, and replace them with anyone in the history of BBS. Who are you replacing and who are you bringing in? Aar-I'd fire Blue, Biggie and HeatFlash and replace them with WillC, Mark and Tigertecz8. If your life was a song, what would the title be? Why? Aar-Fuck Martinez by 2 Live Crew
It needs no explanation
(I love you Marty)Me-I approve of this song!

1. At the beginning of the season you felt you were a legitimate contender for the title you are currently 5th in the East, do you still think you are in discussion for the title? Repole-I don't consider any team to really be a run away favorite at this point, and in that regard I'd still consider my team a contender. The Bucks were the team that scared me most, and then they went and made that panic move trade, and I feel a whole lot better about my chances against them. That isn't to say I'm better than any of the teams ahead of me in the standings, just that I think with some luck I could beat any of them in a seven game series. I also feel my team has really underachieved shooting the ball, and expect that to start coming around as we get closer to the end of the season.Me-Wow, still think your the team to beat huh? I don't think you're even top 3 in the East lol2. What do you feel is your teams biggest strength? weakness? Repole-Our biggest strength should be our shooting, but that simply hasn't been the case so far. King has killed my offense with his shooting, but again I expect that to come around after I poured some AC points into him. In terms of what has actually been a strength, it's been our big advantage in the turnover game. We're forcing more turnovers than any team in the league, and are in the top 10 for fewest turnovers per game. Our biggest weakness is our rebounding, it's been subpar and that's a facet of the game that I generally like to be dominant in. I think Xi's insertion into the lineup and Harris' decreased role will really help that.3. What is your philosophy to building a title team? Repole-Shooters, shooters, and more shooters. The 3 point shot is the most efficient shot to take in FBB. I generally like to have my PG, SG, and SF as my best scorers and big time three point shooters, with two defensive/rebounding guys up front. I'm not a very big believer in post scoring personally.4. If you had a choice of acquiring any player in the league who would it be ? Repole-Omar Green's my favorite player in the league, but outside of him it'd probably be Bradley Barker. The thought of Barker and Green scoring the ball on the same team makes me drool.5. You are relatively new to BBS, what is it you find good and bad in BBS compared to previous leagues you have been in? Repole-Activity here is definitely as good as any league I've been in. I think a large part of that is because Spencer keeps a fast simming pace, which I love. On the downside, there seems to be a good deal more of bickering between GMs here, which sometimes I love, and other times I could do without.6. How do you feel you stack up with the current GM core? Do you think you're in top 10 GM discussion? Repole-Yeah, I do, but I've also been here for a pretty short time and haven't won shit yet, so I'd certainly understand if other people disagree with that. I feel like a decent amount of GMs have started to take some of my methods into consideration with their own team, even if they don't realize it. Guys seem to be emphasizing efficiency more than when I first entered the league, so in that sense I feel like I must be doing something right as a GM.7. If you could replace 1 GM and replace them with any GM you've ever been in sims with, who would they be? and what sim leagues were you with them in? Repole-Now that thugran's gone and I have Omar, this is a tough call for me. I might go with kobe24 just because he has kobe in his username and GMs the Celtics. That makes me sick. In terms of a GM I'd like to see in the league, I'd go with jaycatch, pretty much the only guy from my past sim league experiences that I still talk to (other than Play and Insane on occasion). Was in NBN, Legends, a bunch of other leagues with him back in the day.8. If you were going to be stuck on a deserted island name 3 GMs that you wouldn't mind being stuck with and name 3 GMs that you'd kill yourself if you were stuck with them? Repole-Wouldn't mind: Skillz, Broph, Nova Would kill myself: You, Outlawz, Aaron. The amount of pointless arguing would be ridiculous.Oh please you'd rather have Broph talking about his team all day? And if Skillz is anything like his trading habits I don't want to be stuck on an island with someone with ADHD sorry but me Wilson Haberman >>>>>>>>>>>> 9. If BBS re-started today in this current year and it were a creation draft who would be the top 5 players chosen?(Wilt Chamberlain draft class included) Repole-1. Wilt 2. Barker 3. Hollis 4. Russell 5. Baylor Personally, I'd take Omar above them all Me-wow I mean, I think Dean Hollis still is an excellent player but he seems to be tapped out and remember the whole discussion about his potential perhaps being very low? I don't know maybe its because i traded him but i don't see how Hollis is more valuable then Baylor10. If your life was a song, what would the title be? Why? Repole-Not sure if I'm supposed to use an actual song, but if so: Get By - Talib Kweli Just doing what I can every day to get by.

1. You are currently #1 out West. Do you think you're a legitimate contender for the title?
Jordan-I think I am definitely legitimate contender. We have some obvious flaws but that has been the case for about 4 seasons. The difference now is that we have enough offense to score with anybody. I think that will allow us to go further than we have in the past 2 or 3 seasons with the possibility of a championship.
2. What do you think the Rockets do better than other teams?
Jordan-If any one thing can be attributed to our success, it would have to be free throw shooting. It may be a small part of the game, but we consistently get to the line over 30 times a game. We also make 85% of our free throws. My starting PG, Cam Adams, is the worst FT shooter in the starting lineup at 83%! Repole's power rankings criticized our low average win margin. Beating our opponents every night in FT's made is a huge part of our success. This also helps us to be one of the best offensive teams in the league. It is no secret this team is built for an inside offense, and we run one. This allows us to shoot a much higher field goal percentage than most of our oppenents. We normally shoot at least 50%. If we don't, we have lost for the most part.
Our shot blocking ability is also very important. It has been the foundation of this teams success for quite awhile and really makes a difference on an average at best defense.
3. Christian Gola is arguably your best player, where do you rank his value wise in the league?
Jordan-Gola is definitely our best all around player. I probably would have him around 10. After Chamberlain, Hollis, Barker, and Dickerson I think there is a group of about 10 elite guys that can be interchanged based off of their situation and contracts. I don't really feel like putting my time into thinking about that. Obviously some of those guys look better and produce better than Gola, but Gola is signed until he is 32 and won't ever be getting one of the contracts that ruins you HC wise. Plus, everyone overrates the shit out of their stars so I might as well act like I do the same.
4. Do you feel as if any team out West is a legitimate threat? Dallas? Utah? Clippers? Anyone else?
Jordan-I absolutely do. I honestly had no idea the Jazz were even a playoff team until I looked at the standings this morning. So I'm not concerned about them at all. I wouldn't be surprised to see them go down in Round 1 to one of the underperforming teams.
Dallas and New Orleans are the two other great teams in the West. I think both of them could definitely beat me in the playoffs. It is also a bad year to be the #1 seed. All three of these teams are in the same division. This means if you get the 1 seed you more than likely have to beat the other two to make it to the finals. Finishing second and getting the #3 seed is probably the way to go.
The Clippers and Thunder have potential to make some playoff noise as well. It wouldn't be a surprise to see one of them take the west either in my opinion.
5. Now to the questions people really want to hear...
You have an opportunity to replace 3 GMs in this league and replacing them with any 3 GMs in BBS history name who you are replacing and who you are replacing them with.
Jordan-People I would replace: The Game. His teams always suck and he never does anything to really help out the league. The guy took Bon Salle with his lotto this year. I think everyone with a brain knew he was Vaughtavious Reed 2. Maybe one day he will get a clue but until then he just makes the West an easier conference to be in
DJ. He has been impossible to deal with for nearly a decade (in real time not sim time). He actually doesn't hold up the offseason nearly as much as he used to, but it would be nice to have someone a lot more active on the boards.
Blue. I've always liked Blue but I hate the Jets so look at his Revis avatar gets old. Also, he has been completely worthless since returning. He has made terrible trades and hasn't been active at all.
I would replace them with:
D2A. The guy was amazing! right jah?
But seriously
Krup. I don't know if the league could handle both Marty and Krup going at it everyday again, but out of everyone that has ever been in the league multiple times. He is the only person who was always active and kept things interesting.
Reilly. I really wanted to not put him on this list because I feel like he is the obvious answer. He ended I think BBS 2 by getting the entire Michael Jordan drafts 1st round picks. This lead to the 5 1sts max rule. He basically flamed out not long after that. He was always really active but just not around for a lot past that.
Fernando or Hernando (whatever Reilly's cousins name was). He may have been my favorite guy we've had to talk about something other than sim leagues (back when everyone was always on AIM). he was also a very good GM.
I deliberately left out anyone I think that may be back sometime soon. Nanz, Pig, and Mark would all be great guys to have. Especially if they were active. Mark is one of the best GMs we've had in the league so he would have easily made the top 3 if I were considering him.
I'd like to see Scott back as well, but he was always just an ok GM. I just liked the guy.
6. Do you feel as if the talent level of GMs isn't what it was perhaps maybe 4-5 seasons ago?
Jordan-I feel like the GM quality hasn't been that great since I got back into the league in December or January. I just listed 6 guys that were elite GMs in the league at one point. I think all of them (except for maybe Nanz) were in the league with a large group of GMs that have had some of the best teams for the last 6 months in this league. It used to be a lot tougher to win a championship in this league than I feel like it is now. There were never any real dynasties because someone was always making a move to get better than you or tanking because they couldn't beat you. No offense to Skillz or Greg but I remember a time when neither of them would have even been mentioned as some of the better GMs in the league and now they definitely are.
I haven't been able to tell a difference in GM quality recently. I have no idea who the Suns GM is right now. They may not even have one. I probably should have replaced him above. There are some really bad GMs in this league though.
7. Do you think Outlawz will win a championship within the next 3-5 seasons and do you agree with his assessment that if he stuck around in BBS and wasn't fired he'd be the best GM in the league?
Jordan-Absolutely not. I don't think he has any pieces to build around right now to make a championship contender. He also isn't nearly active enough to do his routine of completely tanking or trading his top 5 picks for superstars. I also don't think that would work anymore. A lot of GMs won't move their players even if it makes sense to.
Outlawz once was the best GM in bbs though. It would be nice to see him get active again and try to do that
8. What do you find more annoying Broph bringing up his BBS team in every unrelated thread or me? why?
Jordan-I can normally scan over both of these types of posts without reading them. Posting about BBS in off topic is annoying though
