Toine did a lot of chucking.. but rather than it being a selfish thing, I believe he thought that was the way for us to win... him and Pierce just chucking away

plus JOB was all about that 3 ball. Even Pierce was hitting Ray Allen attempt #s on scrub efficiency back then

dude sure did like taking a lot of 4s ;D My lasting memory of Toine (aside from all the shimmies) will always be his banked 3 against LA for the win.

Actually I just took a look, Pierce wasn't too bad at all save a few years.. and that one year where he took 6+ 3s, he shot 40%

Yo even though we were either bad or mediocre for the majority of the 00s, these guys had heart... they played a lot of teams tough

I remember Walker hitting like 8 treys in a game vs the 76ers... I don't remember what year and whether or not it was playoffs, but I remember going wild about that.. Pierce also hit a ridiculous amount of 3s that game. Trying to find some highlights because if I remember correctly AI also went off that game, so there must be footage on the tube

the nba called a lockout because a German won MVP and a Spaniard was going to win Rookie of the Year and lead the Wolves to the finals and it was an embarassment to the "american" league I know you're kidding but damn that's just redic

sure did, as much as I want to hate Antoine for his awful shot selection, him pumping the team up prior to the 4th quarter of that Nets/Celtics ECF game where they came back down 20+ was epic.

that's definitely my fondest Celtic memory from those years... Pierce unstoppable after that pep talk.. and our defense in that last stretch was just amazing

yo there's no reason Pierce couldn't slash like that all day every day. He should have had some 30 PPG years with his slashing/ability to draw fouls

unfortunately those years were spent playing next to a guy who took way too many shots and made it impossible for Pierce to have the ball as much as he really should have.

He was a good shooter but settled way too much then
Now I don't mind it since he's so crazy efficient from outside
