I don't see how O'Keane could rank so high in a league like this. He's a great scorer, but if he's a top option he's going to turn it over 3 times a game at PF. If he's not, he's not as useful, and he probably has <50 post d

All a matter of need. Despite the turnovers O'Keane is still a quality offensive player on a per possession basis, he's not just a volume scorer. It's tough to find big men with TS% that are above average, and O'Keane's is way above average.
I could easily have ranked him 3 spots lower, again, PFs are a tough group to judge because they can serve so many roles. For the most part teams have scorers at PG-SG-SF and defensive/rebounding types up front, so the rare effective scorer at PF or C is hard to judge. It's sort of unfair to even try comparing Keane and O'Keane, totally different roles.

Yeah, but i think far more teams need Keane to play his role than they do O'Keane. And any team that needs O'Keane to be a top option and do 30 probably is going to suck anyway.
I've had them both on the same team, playing next to each other so i think i'm a good judge (and i'm actually an o'keane fan). But if i were to guess his post D is pretty horrific.

o'keane had a nice season and this is partial to efficient scorers. obviously most guys would take a few of the players below him since option scorers aren't hard to find, and o'keane has flaws that disrupt what most great teams try to do, but i can see why he's high on the list

He did 4.4 turnovers in preseason, odd.

A team with O'Keane doing 30 wouldn't be garbage offensively. He produces 116 points per 100 possessions, the league average is 111.8. A team full of O'Keane quality offensive players would be a top 5 offense.

i'd take sinclair over o'keane because the blocking, post d, rebounding, and lower turnovers are way more appealing than o'keane's offense, but i totally understand him being below o'keane in the rankings.
i think sinclair takes so many shots because he's over 85 inside. his strength is way low. i put 10 into his midrange and it regressed last TC, and ive put points in his strength but they've had little impact on his offense. he's definitely a much better defender because of them, and his fouls were way down this year

that's what i've always thought....that strength played a huge role in %'s, inside more so on shots

Inside definitely has a huge impact on volume, but I'm really not sure which plays a bigger role on %s. I'm also really unsure as to what type of player draws fouls, because Petit's been doing so since he entered the league, but took a while to actually shoot decent percentages.

nah inside has to influence a lot more than volume. i'm sure it plays a big role in percentages too

i know but i see all the time with guys that have 100 inside and say, 65 strength. they'll do like 20-22 ppg on mediocre fg%
guys with 65 inside and 100 strength seem to do close to 15 ppg on better %'s.
That's just what i 've seen

Strength is huge for percentages but both play a part
also strength helps players get to the line
