I have no idea what the correct order is because of how many ties there are in the standings, so i'll just go in order.
I'm making picks on BPA/Team Need based on my opinion so hop off if it sucks.
1. New Jersey Nets -- Jason Robinson PF 6'8'' 235 22 A- C D+ C+ C+ A
The Nets really just need someone to build around. Robinson looks like he could be a nice start for the Nets' rebuilding process. They could play him at the small forward or the power forward position. But I am not too sure how great he would be able to defend at the SF position. Robinson looks like the most ready player in this draft so he should be able to do damage right away. His draft notes look great.
2. Indiana Pacers from Detroit Pistons -- Lamont McGee PF 6'11'' 225 20 B+ D+ D+ C+ C+ A
Pacers are looking for a big man in this draft and this is a guy they would really like. He has a bright upside and is very strong and athletic. Hopefully McGee can work on his outside and rebounding game to become a 20ppg scorer, if not I don't see him being more than a 16ppg scorer in this league.
3. Utah Jazz -- Rashid Muhammad PF 6'9'' 235 20 C+ C+ C+ C+ C+ A
I really like this kid, his ratings look deceiving too, I am expecting a HUGE tc from this kid. He has a solid inside/outside game and im sure he has sky high potential. I wouldn't be surprised if someone takes him #1 overall. His low strength is worrysome though, but if the team who takes him sends him to some RC's/AC's they can get that up.
4. Atlanta Hawks -- Ethan Talley SG 6'5'' 190 20 C A- C B- C- A
The Hawks already have two young big men in Rogers and Reinhart so they should be happy wherever they end up whether it's 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5. Last season they took the Lorenzo Carr who is looking to be a solid player in this league after his first training camp. So that leaves the Hawks needing a guard. Ethan Talley looks like a sick shooter, Stephen Curry/Steve Nash type . He is medicore inside but who cares if he can shoot lights out. He also has great handling skills so he shouldn't turn it over much at all.
5. Indiana Pacers -- Tanner Thompson SG 6'5'' 204 22 B- B B- B C B
The Pacers may choose to trade down if they end up with this selection and the draft goes the way I am predicting it to go. Pacers would like to draft another big man but it would be hard to pass over some of these SG's who are available. If they can't find the right offer I think they'd take Thompson. He might not have the highest upside at this pick, but him/Rider/Rouser is just a crazy 1, 2, 3 all around.
6. Orlando Magic -- Omar Green SG 6'8'' 180 21 C+ A- D C D A
I have a feeling this guy will turn out to be a beast of a scorer in a few years. He is very tall for his postition so the Orlando Magic could move him to the 3 and play him along side with JJ Erving. The two of them could potentially score 50 points a night in the future if they both turn out to be great scorers. He looks like he doesn't like to pass the ball or rebound much though which is a concern.
7. Orlando Magic from Golden State Warriors -- Pavel Petrovin C 7'1'' 288 22 C+ D+ D A- A- B
I don't think the Magic will care much about upside here because this guy is already good enough to start for most contending teams. He is probably the best shot blocker in this draft, hes very strong and can rebound. He isn't very athletic but who cares. Putting him alongside Erving and Green would be sexy.
8. Phoenix Suns -- Devon Taylor C 6'9'' 210 23 B- C- C B- C+ A
The Suns don't have their firsts in the upcoming seasons so they need to get prepared to start winning. Taylor may be overaged for this draft but he still has a promising upside and will more than likely have a great first TC, normally the older players with potential have the stronger TC's right off the bat and use up some of their potential. Hopefully his potential works on his defensive and rebounding game.
9. Utah Jazz from New York Knicks -- Titus Alexander C 7'3'' 245 21 B- C- D+ A- B C
Titus looks solid all around so I think the Jazz wouldn't pass him up. He isn't much of a shot blocker but is a great post defender. I don't think he has much upside either but he can come right in and maybe start for the Jazz.
10. Charlotte Bobcats from Philadelphia 76ers -- Max Sanford SG 6'4'' 228 20 C+ C+ B A- C+ B
The Bobcats seem really high on this guy so I would assume he will go with him. Sanford doesn't look like he will be a star in this league but he can at least be a roleplayer. If he worked on his scoring game he would easily be a starter in the future.
11. Phoenix Suns from LA Lakers -- Kareem Cunningham PG 6'4'' 192 20 C B B+ C C A
The Suns could use a young PG and every other position they have someone young. Cunningham is probably the best PG in this draft and for him to be available at #11 is awesome. The Suns are in a must win situation next season without there picks.
12. Memphis Grizzlies -- Cameron Claxton PF 6'11'' 240 20 C B B- B B B
Claxton is an all around big man so I love this pick for the Grizzlies. His inside game is wack though and he can't block any shots. He is a solid 3pt shooter and has a nice Jumpshot. He can also pass the ball which is rare for big men. He kind of reminds me of a Brad Miller with less inside.
13. New Orleans Hornets from San Antonio Spurs -- Quinn Barnes SF 6'10'' 215 19 C B C- C+ C A
Hornets are a good team so they'll likely go with the BPA at this pick. There are a few people he could go with but I like this guy. He is only 19 years old and is 6'10". Hopefully he has the potential to become something nice.
