40. Von Carter C 21 7'0'' 218 C+ D+ D+ A B A
27.8 mpg 5.8 ppg 8.3 rpg 1.8 bpg
Von Carter just barely makes the list. It looks as though Hawks made the most of their pick when they chose Von considering he was picked in the early 20's. He's still only 21 years old and it's already his 3rd season in the league. He'll probably make his mark in the league as more of a defensive specialist, but it has yet to be seen whether he'll be a starting caliber Center. His offensive game is horrible at this point and i don't see much changing on that front considering his percentages from the field. He's already a solid player as it is so even if he doesn't improve anymore, the Hawks have a solid big off the bench for the foreseeable future.
39. Patrick Stevens PF 20 6'9'' 235 C+ C+ C- A- B A
26.2 mpg 8.9 ppg 8.0 rpg 1.8 bpg
Patrick Stevens' production is already pretty solid and he's just a rookie. He's similar to von carter at the moment but it looks as though he has more room to grow and he's already considerably more efficient on the offensive end than Carter. He was picked at the end of the lotto and could easily become a starting caliber defensive stud. He's only 20 years old, the only downside to Patrick is the fact he's already RC'd out but his apparent potential could make him a heck of a steal. It might be too early to say, but i wouldn't be surprised if he ended up making some all-league defensive teams in the future.
38. Randy Sharpe SF 23 6'6'' 215 B+ C+ B- A- C B
17.9 mpg 8.1 ppg 3.7 rpg 1.3 apg
Not sure what to make of sharpe, but he produces a bunch when he's in there. He has nice ratings, but he'll probably never get full playing time as long as Roe and Hayward are there. He's not quite Quentin Derrick, but so far he's looking like a heck of a second round steal. This is only his second year and although the B potential doesn't look that great I've seen guys with B potential improve drastically over the years. For now, he produces in the little time he gets and he's a very good bench player. Time will tell if he becomes anything more.
37. Darian McCutchan PG 23 6'2'' 206 C B+ B+ A+ C B
35.1 mpg 13.2 ppg 7.6 apg 5.0 rpg 3.3 topg
Darian looks like he's probably a finished product which is why he's near the bottom of this list. He'll probably be a mediocre pg for the remainder of his career but if he ever gets those to issues in check, he could be solid. He still has B potential, so he might have some room to grow a bit more. At the moment, it looks like his defense is his biggest asset at this point which isn't bad considering he plays arguably the most important position in the league. He probably won't start on a contending team at any point in his career though.
36. Tyrone Keane PF 20 7'0'' 248 C+ A- C A- B- A
32.6 mpg 8.7 ppg 9.5 rpg 2.2 apg 1.7 bpg
Keane is a very unique player. He seems like a perimeter player offensively at least, but it's rare that a perimeter player blocks as many shots as he does. He was picked very high and should still have some upside and if he does he could be scary going forward. He's not the prototypical big man but i think he'll be a stud nonetheless. His biggest weakness looks to be his rebounding at this point, but considering rebounding is so easy to develop i wouldn't worry about that too much. If he can improve his inside scoring, he could be scary though.
35. Luis Nazario Hartley PG 22 5'8'' 161 C+ B- A- A D B
38.5 ppg 13.9 ppg 8.5 apg 2.7 spg 3.1 topg
Luis is pretty horrible offensively but he's solid in the other aspects of his game. His turnovers probably need to be toned down but his ability to get steals at a high rate make it a little easier to overlook his to's. He can probably be a starter on a solid team. His supporting cast is pretty garbage at the moment outside of Avery which could be the reason for his passing deficiencies. He's probably a finished product though. Shouldn't expect him to improve much from here on out.
34. Arnez Tuttle SG 21 6'8'' 225 B- B C- C+ C+ A
26.1 mpg 9.4 ppg 5.4 rpg
He had a nice TC last offseason and his ratings are decent. He was a borderline lotto pick at the time he was drafted and he could be on the verge of having a big tc. Production wise, he should probably be lower on this list, but i think he has some potential left in him and could be nice.
33. Andryunas Raskauskas C 22 7'2'' 278 B B- C B+ B B
31.0 mpg 15.2 ppg 9.7 rpg 2.3 apg 1.4 bpg
Andryunas was hyped up pretty good by DBW in his first season or two but let up after he had a disappointing TC. I haven't heard much of him, but as i started looking through rosters i was surprised to see dude was actually pretty good. I don't know his camp situation but if he has some left, raskauskas can be real good. His rebounding could use a little boost but he's only 22 and could improve a tad more on his own. The T'wolves have themselves a pretty solid big.
32. Dez Ford PF 23 6'11'' 280 B C- D B B+ B
23.4 mpg 11.7 ppg 7.7 rpg
I don't even know why i put this dude here to be honest. Maybe it's the fact he was picked highly. Maybe it's the fact he's on pig's team now and could be on the verge of blowing up Fab Melo style. His production isn't bad, but his ratings are pretty solid and he's still only 23. Dez hasn't had a big TC yet, so he could be due. There have been a few big men who have blown up after their rookie deals, i wouldn't be surprised if dez is one of them. Pig is also one of our most active members and likes to write articles so a few articles into Dez probably wouldn't hurt either. Should probably still be lower on this list though, meh.
31. Matthew Johengen SG 23 6'5'' 223 C+ A- C A- C- B
26.4 mpg 9.0 ppg 3.9 rpg
As i looked through the teams, i noticed there were a bunch of young C+ A- A- wings out there and matthew is no different. He doesn't really stand out but he could, maybe, possibly be good one day. Right now, he's just a mediocre role player, but he's still only 23. If he has camps left, he could be a 15-17 ppg type scorer. He'll probably be a good 3rd or 4th option at best. Probably should have put him lower.
30. Tyson Jackson SG 23 6'2'' 178 C+ A C A- C- B
27.7 mpg 12.7 ppg 3.3 rpg 2.4 apg
I kind of like Tyson Jackson. He still has two of his RC's left and his AC's and he's still relatively young. He's about to hit FA though and he's probably not a max player so resigning him could be a bit tricky for the Knicks. If the gm he ends up with starts investing in him he could be a real good player in an outside oriented offense. His only weakness is his inside scoring at this point I don't think it's anything Tyson can't overcome. I like him to be a 17 ppg in the future.
29. Dalmar Ghedi C 20 7'0'' 250 C C- D A- A- A
29.2 mpg 7.9 ppg 10.2 rpg 2.6 bpg
Another young big whose already producing solid numbers in the early stages of his career. It looks like he's already a beast on the defensive end and could be a defensive all-teamer if he got more playing time. He'll never do anything worth mentioning on the offensive end, but if you surround him with offensive minded players, that shouldn't be a problem. It has to be encouraging to see Ghedi's blocks per game double from his first year to his second year. Hopefully it's a sign of things to come. I wouldn't be surprised to see him average 3+ bpg and 11+ rpg for the majority of his career.
28. Austin Campbell SG 22 6'5'' 206 B- B+ C+ B+ D+ A
30.6 ppg 12.5 ppg 4.0 rpg 3.0 apg
Austin Campbell was one of a handful of guys who could have easily gone #1 last draft, but he dropped to #7 for some reason. He's looking like one of the best players to come out of that draft thus far and he's not done developing. I believe he is still uncamped and that couple with the fact he still has some upside could turn campbell into a sick player. He's one of the best young SF's in the league. He'll probably climb up these rankings in potential future editions.
27. Bobby Burns PG 22 6'2'' 195 C+ A- A B- C B
31.9 mpg 11.3 ppg 8.8 apg 5.3 rpg 2.8 topg
Burns looked a little better a season or two ago when he still had that upside, but he looks solid at the moment nonetheless. His turnovers are a bit disappointing but i'm sure DBW will invest in Burns if he feels he's their franchise point guard. With some camps burns could be pretty good. He has nice ratings for a point guard. The main concern for the remainder of his career will probably be the turnovers and his bad defense. A solid PG for the future though.
26. Franz Reinhart C 19 7'0'' 231 B- B+ C C+ B+ A
27.2 mpg 12.9 ppg 8.7 rpg
He's similar to keane from earlier in the rankings but Franz looks like he's more developed in Inside Scoring and Rebounding and he's only 19. Franz still has two RC's left to be used and all his AC's. If he has the upside most of us think he has, he could be very good despite his inability to block any shots at all. His defense will probably be a problem for the remainder of his career, but his offense in the future can easily overcome that. If he develops his inside scoring to match his perimeter game, franz could be real good. I like the next guy a little more though...
25. Juno Tremont SF 19 6'9'' 215 B+ C C A- C+ A
26.1 mpg 9.7 ppg 6.2 rpg
No idea why this dude is listed as an SF. He's more of a power forward. His outside game is pretty bad at this point in his career and his only weakness as a big is probably his rebounding. I like Juno as a power forward in the future, hate his as a small forward. He's no Antonio Ramsey. Rebounding is probably one of the easiest categories to develop so i don't see the problem with him being a Power Forward. Hopefully, he's a PF going forward, if not, he'd probably move down this list tbh. He's only 19 and probably still has upside left. Great prospect, but utilization of that prospect.
24. A.J. Perkins SF 20 6'9'' 207 B B+ D+ C+ C+ A
17.7 mpg 5.1 ppg 3.2 rpg
A.J. just seems like a really flawed player at this point. He was touted as the best player in his draft but i still don't see it. His offensive ratings combined with his perceived potential make him a nice prospect still, but i just think his other attributes are too bad to overlook. He can handle, he can't play defense and he didn't even improve his offense in his first tc. I don't think he improved any facet of his game. I'm assuming he still has good upside though so he should become a good offensive weapon at the very least.
23. Ben Stevens SF 24 6'6'' 205 B- A- C+ B C B
16.7 mpg 6.8 ppg 2.3 rpg
His ratings are real nice. It just seems like he'll never get the chance to prove how good he is since he never gets starter minutes. He does well in the limited time he gets but if given more playing time i think he'd be around 17 ppg or so at least. I could be wrong and the pistons seem to be doing well with him on the bench so you can't really knock the decision to bench him. I'm probably making a mistake going by his ratings, but they look too good to overlook.
22. Jarrett Jordan SF 21 6'8'' 226 C+ A- C+ A- C A
36.5 mpg 17.6 ppg 6.9 rpg 3.3 apg 1.6 spg 1.4 bpg
Jarret isn't quite as good as his brother at this point but he has the chance to become a really good player in his own right. He's already producing pretty well and that A potential doesn't hurt the cause either. The most impressive aspect of his game is probably his ability to block shots. There's plenty of bigs in the league who won't get 1.4 bpg, so it's remarkable to see a small forward get those stats. Jarrett looks like he'll be a good all around player.
21. Ricky Roe SF 24 6'9'' 230 A- A A- C+ C- C
34.9 mpg 23.2 ppg 4.7 rpg 3.8 apg
Ricky Roe is pretty sick. He should probably be producing at a higher rate given his ratings but his efficiency is off the charts. He's shooting above 50% from the field and is among the leagues best ft shooters. The only thing keeping him from being higher on the list is his potential and his sub-par defense. His ratings are that of a 27-30 ppg scorer so his production is a bit disappointing. Looks like he should be better. If he becomes an elite scorer, he could be a top option on a contender.
