Koni Bruton Height: 6'9" Weight: 225 Position: SF Age: 21 College: Georgetown
Bio: Bruton is an absolute athletic freak. He was training for the 200 meter dash in his native Jamaica before a growth spurt caused him to grow five inches at age 16. While he can no longer qualify for the Olympics, he is likely the fastest guy his size on the planet. He can also jump out of the gym, which is where he spends most of his time. Bruton has the same build as LeBron James, just a man among boys. The only thing really holding him back is that he picked up the game of basketball at age 16.
Strengths: When John Thompson IV heard about Bruton, he had to have him. Bruton is an athletic freak. He dunks on guys, blocks shots with authority and hits the offensive boards like no other.
Weaknesses: Awful shooter and positional defender. His post defense game is nearly non-existent and he uses his lateral quickness to keep up with small forwards and guards. He doesn't have great hands so he won't steal the ball much. His dribbling and passing are improving, but hardly developed. Low basketball IQ.
Outlook: Bruton is very teachable and wants to excel with the competitive drive that a prospective Olympian has. He is very raw, but runs the floor and leaps like a maniac. Still very raw and a boom or bust prospect.
Rookie Ratings:
B D+ C- C B A
