Wtf lol. It's always cracks me up hearing and watching black and white people speaking Chinese. I've never seen an Asian person speaking Chinese though...

(And by "Asian" I mean Indian, Pakistani etc as that's what "Asians" are referred to in the UK... Chinese / Japanese etc are referred to as Orientals, although I'm well aware we're still counted as Asian technically speaking lol)

I think we'd refer to those type of people as being from the middle east. I was going to say Middle Easterner's but that sounds ridiculous. Maybe even Indian, even though it's obviously not correct for people not from India. I don't think I've ever called someone here an oriental.

Like I said, people just refer to Asians here as Indians/Pakistanis, and actually exclude Orientals from that category... don't know why. There's loads of Asians here in this country though, like the school I went to was predominatly a traditionally white school, very old, over 450 years old, very very English (King Edward's School Birmingham - where J.R.R. Tolkien who wrote the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings went to school), and yet when I was there it was like 40-50% Asian. Not many Chinese at all though, maybe 4 or 5 in each year group of about 150 students.

Although then again, Birmingham is a hot spot for Asians. Along with Bradford and Leicester, probably the largest populations of Indians and Pakistanis in the country are concentrated around there.
