seems like alot of the top west coast prospects have troubled to settle in at college (turner, carson, jabari brown to name a few) Brown never really even gave it a shot, leaving after two games...i mean, thats just wtf....think he stayed on the West Coast though yeah he's from oakland.

I watched a game to see how good #2 prospect at the beginning of the season, Mitch McGary was.
Nerlins dominated the game. McGary dropped to like 20th. Fan'd.

Ya what happened to Mitch. Dude was like top 5 in the summer. Guess he didn't improve fast enough. Or others did. I remember Dashonte Riley dropping like that. I don't even remember where dude plays now. Like a backup at Georgetown or something?

Never really understood how Mitch was that high, I get that he's really mobile/has a great motor/solid instincts, but it's not like he was ever going to be a dominant player. He seems like a raw version of David Lee, which is great and all, but didn't really seem to warrant the hype. Michigan should be a lot of fun next season though. McGary/Robinson/Hardaway/Burke is an awesome core, anything short of a BigTen title and an elite 8 run would be disappointing.

Derrick Nix, Adreian Payne, Brendan Dawson, Gary Harris, Keith Appling. Yes please. Sparty should have a damn good frontcourt. I'm a bit worried to see how the team transitions without Draymond (and Keith's been extremely shaky), but they should be able to control the paint and the boards with those big bodies. Adreian Payne seems like he's actually starting to learn how to put that freakish athleticism to use. And he has shown the good sense to use his length to finish his post moves. He has to turn the corner this upcoming season if MSU wants to compete for the conference. Plus I want to see more blocks.

Nix/Payne/Dawson/Harris/Appling is nice, but that isn't any more talented than McGary/Robinson/Hardaway/Stauskas/Burke. And if John Beilein has comparable talent to who ever he's matched up against, I'm taking John Beilein.
