1- LA Clippers
Currently at the moment the Clippers have the number one seed but we feel that over the course of the next few weeks that they will slide down. Antonio Ramsey is a solid player but he is no Kevin White, that's what you get when you go potential number one pick picking. The Clippers will have to rely heavily on Baylor and Derrick down the stretch, they won't stay up here but have set themselves up nicely in this offseason.
2- Chicago Bulls
If I didn't know any better Id say that Spencer is fucking with the Bulls. 45 Games out of the first 50 days in the seasons the Bulls have handled this insane schedule perfectly. They will be the team that overtakes the first slot eventually. The Bulls sort of retooled in the offseason picking up the young player in Wayne Embry for Evan Dickerson however he still have development to do. As long as the Jackson/Langston duo in is tact this team is tough.
3- Minnesota Timberwolves
Having the leagues best offense is always a great thing to have, especially when were talking about a ten point differential. The Wolves have an insanely balanced scoring attack that's led by Wilt the Stilt who is posting an insane stat line for a center, five assists a game is no joke. Arizin, Cousy, O'Keane and Hagan round out this deadly offense. The only thing Id say could be the downfall of this team is the defense of O'Keane.
4- Miami Heat
Bradley Barker? Check. As he goes this team goes, that's seems to be the case. Irish and Jay form quite the nice tandem at the swingman spots, however this team needs some help in the front court badly. Ferry, Foust and Nacincik are simply not going to cut it when the games start to mean something. With only four players under contract next year it will be interesting to see where this team goes in this offseason.
5- Atlanta Hawks
The Hawks are on a mission this season it appears making deals left and right. Thus far this season they have brought in JD Quincy, Julian Rooks and Tracy Parker. Many general managers around the league didn't believe that Quincy would work out well but thus far has been play stellar. The Hawks if they want still have enough young pieces to really make one more trade that can put them in the upper echelon of the teams in the league with Imhoff and Ellis. Talk about a contract year.
6- Cleveland Cavaliers
I truly believe that with the comments that he was making in the offseason the Cavs GM really went into this season with no desire to win, but actually talent. However somewhere along the line he stumbled into a few free agent pieces. With the resigning of Russell for the conceivable future, the Cavs were ready to roll. A few sims pass bye they have completed trades for Knight and White and will probably rise in these standings into the top three. The trio of Knight, White and Russell are all under the contract and the rest of the team will be free agents, is it this year or bust for the Cavs?
7- Phoenix Suns
One of the quieter teams in the league it appears, the Suns have been led by Tanner Thompson who is having a great season. His running mate Frank Ramsey is having a solid year himself, however this team still has along way to go. If it weren't for there winning percentage Id have this team ranked lower due to their point differential, being a winning team and allowing more points than you score doesn't hold up forever. They need to do some work for Leroy Wright to sure up the middle.
8- Portland Trailblazers
Another team that has gone through quite the change over the course of the past year, the Blazers have added a ton of talent in hopes of build a winning team. It started with Rickey Francis the dynamic scorer wherever he goes and it continued with Vern, Douglas, Sinclair and Paulson. The Blazers don't really have that team that will scare you come playoff time, but for now winning basketball is back in Portland.
9- Boston Celtics
In Attles news, he still can't shoot from the outside for shit but his play as of late has been no joke. Flirting with triple doubles daily, Attles is leading this team right now. However the Celtics have been trade happy this year and for that we have to look no further than the Celtics and Hornets trades this year. The main question for this team will be can Worthington keep up his insane production?

10- Houston Rockets
The Rockets have done a good job of adding young talent to the team over the past few years, but the past draft laid down the foundation for years to come. The Rockets seem to really enjoy building a team with their guy as only one starter wasn't drafted by them. Another year of development by Lucas, Wilkens and Bumper this team might be a problem and are planning to do nothing this year to improve using the patience method.
11- Charlotte Bobcats
Last game Evan Dickerson got laid the fuck out by Skyler Schmaltz and broke his jaw. It's a shame because in the second half the Bobcats have a bunch of games on the road. They have a balanced attack that is led by Rodgers who is second in the league in assists and Albert Smith as the playmaker. The Bobcats are another contract year team that is more than likely safe.
12- Philadelphia 76ers
Anyone else feel that this team should be better? I mean between Oscar, Jordan, Lynch, Martin, Xi and Titus I think this team should be better than it is. Who knows what it is exactly, but this team could use a trade maybe to shake things up. Oscar is doing everything he can right with the stat line of 26/9/7/2 but has been getting some pedestrian help. Maybe change up the options or something who knows.
13- Golden State Warriors
A team that has been revamped over the course of two years, the Warriors are finally playing some winning basketball which has been long overdue. After striking out on top free agent targets the Warriors walked away with Juno Tremont a great scorer. They continued to build around him by adding various pieces in Drummond, Kerr, Guerin and Guo. The Warriors are starting to add various bench pieces to try and improve the roster. One way or another the Warriors are finally winning again and the fans couldn't be happier.
14- Detroit Pistons
Another Eastern Contract year team that is fighting for a playoff spot. After missing out on Jerry West last year the Pistons selected Willie Merriwether to lead this team, however shit happens and George Lee exploded. The Pistons have added a ton of talent and salary I might add in efforts to keep his job. They have added Gola, Schayes, Perkins and Leonard to Lee to round out the starting five. There really is only two other Eastern Conference teams that have a shot of making the playoffs, can this team be safe or will they attempt to make another trade to put them over the top?
15- Utah Jazz
Another one of those odd teams that are winning despite giving up more points than they score. The Jazz have been playing better basketball as of late since the McGee trade went down. They have also brought in point guard Ethan Talley to help improve the offense. While this team is nice and balanced what this team really needs is Jack Twyman to step his game up and get back to the way he has been playing the past few years as his percentages are down.
16- LA Lakers
When you got the Logo, things are in most cases pretty good overall. Jerry West and Hal Greer together form one of the best back courts in this league if not best with only a few teams that have a legitimate claim at that. I say it's a backcourt because this team has no damn small forward to really speak for. Flint and Hopkins are doing what they can to man the middle but this is the BBS, not college basketball. This team needs to get a legit small forward before they really make some noise.
Next time I'll write about non playoff teams.
