Time for round 4 of my Franchise Power Rankings, following season 32 of BBS (and a small amount of this season) The Grizzlies were the dominant team this time around, at least through the playoffs, the Bucks fell 20 points behind as they were dominant in the regular season (yes, 58, 61, 63, 61 is dominant in the regular season). After that came the Timberwolves, who put together a title and multiple finals appearances and the Pistons. As You would expect, this made the Grizzlies the team that improved the most positions, jumping 7 positions from 10 to 3. The Bucks jumped 6 spots, from 21 to 15 for second. Games Warriors were the worst team as it pertains to position loss from 17th to 21st, with the Blazers and Nets both losing 3, from 16 to 19 and 4 to 7 respectively. On the overall front, the Suns continued to sit on top, as they have for all four rankings. The Bulls held onto second, with a comfortable 67 point lead, but not as comfortable as the 175 point lead they held last go around. The Clippers drop back to bottom feeder status, sitting 42 points below the Hawks, who sit 4 points behind the Wizards. For the period the Celtics were the worst team, with 137 points, 6 behind the Warriors, and the Clippers and Blazers were next, both with 154 points. The point system still hasn’t changed.
I gave teams
1 point for a regular season win
2 points for a playoff win
4 points for a Division Title
4 Points for a Conference Title (on top of 4 for winning the division)
5 points for a playoff appearance
8 Points for being the overall number 1 (on top of the 8 from winning the conference)
10 points for a finals appearance
25 points for a title
That means a first round playoff appearance is worth 5-11 points (5 for the appearance + up to three wins at two points each) 2nd round is 13-19 points, Conference Championship 21-27, a Finals appearance is worth 39-45, and a title is worth 72 points, due to the wins. The most possible points in the regular season would be 98, and the most possible points in the playoffs 72. Without further hesitation, I present the overall Rankings.

- The Nuggets, Trail Blazers, Nets, and Bucks are each perfect when it comes to going to the finals and then completing the goal of winning a title. The Nuggets are an astounding 3 for 3, The Magic failed in their finals appearance, dropping off this list.
- The Thunder, Wizards, Pacers, Spurs, Lakers, Pacers, and Warriors are all on the opposite end of the spectrum, having reached the Finals, but come up short of winning a title, of those, none is worse than 0-2. The Timberwolves and Pistons both managed to win a title in the last four years, removing their name from this list.
- Well three quarters of BBS has made a finals appearance, with 23 of the 29 teams making a finals appearance. The teams that haven't? New York Knicks (who still rank 10th amazingly enough), Dallas Mavericks, Boston Celtics, Atlanta Hawks, Los Angeles Clippers and Houston Rockets. These teams all failed to reach the finals in this time period.
- If I had to say that I have one team overrated in this ranking, it would have to be the Knicks at 10, as they do not even have a finals appearance...but they never seem to rebuild giving them a lot of regular season wins and they do tend to win a few games come playoff time.
- The Phoenix Suns passed the Chicago Bulls as the best regular season team, as they have been consistent at winning a lot of games but the Bulls have won an astounding 12 division titles, and have come out on top of the east an amazing 10 times. The next closest team conference title wise is the Magic and Bucks, who have each only done it 5 times. The Bulls have also been the overall #1 5 times, more than any other team. The Suns however have 80 more wins overall in the regular season
- The Raptors have the highest number of playoff appearances, at 26 in 32 seasons
- The Wizards have reached the playoffs a mere 9 times in 32 seasons, of course, the do have a Finals appearance in those 8 appearances
- Every team has won a division title.
- The Cavaliers, Trailblazers, Hawks, and Clippers are the only teams to have no won a conference title.
- If there is something else you would like to know, or would like me to add, go ahead and post it and I will see what I can do. No guarantees though.
