Time for round 6 of my Franchise Power Rankings, The Bulls are now not only dominant, but far and away untouchable, with a 551 point lead over the Suns, who sit Second as they did last time. The Clippers were the biggest gainer, gaining 7 spots. A few teams made their first finals appearances, but neither could capitalize with a title.
I gave teams
1 point for a regular season win
2 points for a playoff win
4 points for a Division Title
4 Points for a Conference Title (on top of 4 for winning the division)
5 points for a playoff appearance
8 Points for being the overall number 1 (on top of the 8 from winning the conference)
10 points for a finals appearance
25 points for a title
That means a first round playoff appearance is worth 5-11 points (5 for the appearance + up to three wins at two points each) 2nd round is 13-19 points, Conference Championship 21-27, a Finals appearance is worth 39-45, and a title is worth 72 points, due to the wins. The most possible points in the regular season would be 98, and the most possible points in the playoffs 72. Without further hesitation, I present the overall Rankings.

- The Bucks, Trail Blazers, and Nets are each perfect when it comes to going to the finals and then completing the goal of winning a title. The Bucks are an astounding 3 for 3, while the Nuggets, formerly 3-3, made it to the finals and lost, removing themselves from the list
- The Knicks, Rockets, Wizards, Pacers, Spurs, Lakers, Pacers, and Warriors are all on the opposite end of the spectrum, having reached the Finals, but come up short of winning a title, of those, none is worse than 0-2. The Knicks and Rockets made the finals in the past 6 years, but failed to win, adding their name to this list.
- Over 3/4ths of BBS teams have made a finals appearance, with 25 of the 29 teams making a finals appearance. The teams that haven't? Dallas Mavericks, Boston Celtics, Atlanta Hawks, and the Los Angeles Clippers. New York and Houston removed themselves from this list over the last six years
- The Bulls are 3.1Standard Deviations away from the norm….insane.
- The Raptors have the highest number of playoff appearances, at 32 in 42 seasons, yet, they have just 2 finals appearances,
- The Wizards have reached the playoffs a mere 11 times in 42 seasons, of course, the do have a Finals appearance in those 11 appearances
- Every team has won a division title.
- The Cavaliers, Trailblazers, and Hawks are the only teams to have no won a conference title. And none did in the last 6 seasons,
- 19 of the 29 teams have been the Overall #1 seed, the 10 who have not all rank from 19th to 29th, except the Pistons, who are 14th.
