Let me know if i'm forgetting anyone. Feel like i'm missing 1 or 2 guys.
Observations:
-The power forward crop is pretty good, just not dominant. There are some good players all the way through here with some decent depth as well. We do not have, however, a dominant player in this group which is pretty interesting.
-Dolph Schayes gets the nod as the no. 1 power forward, and he is shooting just 46% and can't block. Obviously he's a stud (24/14), but it tells you a lot about the position as a whole.
-Tyrone Keane (2) and Christian Gola (3) round out the top 3. Keane's a dominant defender but has some turnover concerns and isn't a stud scorer. Gola is a great scorer who can't rebound. Like I said, we have no true superstar here.
-Bob Petit (4) and Tom Heinsohn (7) look like they are the future at the power forward spot. Both, however, have not yet played to their ratings and seem to be stuck in the 18-20/10-12 range---good but not great. Neither block shots either.
-Stephen Flint (5) was once the dominant power forward in the game. He hasn't regressed much and when he comes back from injury, he is still in contention for the best at the position.
-We have seen an emergence of non-power forwards starting. Lennie Rosenbluth (13) Kwan Xi (15), Tyrone Kemp (18) all seem to be doing a pretty good job. I'd think Lennie and Xi are probably better at the 3 though.
-The position is pretty deep---pretty much everyone on the list could be a rotational guy.
-The player who I think will rocket up this list next is Bob Boozer (20). Will probably be a top 5 power forward and does not have any flaws.
-Koni Bruton (12) should probably be ranked higher but he's having a really shiity season.
