Through 50 Days.
I ranked each player's best performance, and no player could appear twice, or else it'd just consist of Rickey Francis, Ben Rollins, and Alf basically. This way, it's more interesting.
Anyways...
Honorable Mentions:
Ray McCallum – 41pts, 5rbs, 16asts, 2stls, 3tos, 18/28 FG, 4/8 3PT, 1/1 FT
bballsim56.com/BBS/boxes/38-4.html
One of the league’s best PG’s, McCallum got traded to Portland in the offseason and has been arguably their best player this season. Ray is helping the Blazers stay alive in Dan’s contract year, and its performances like this in a game against the Hornets that make him such a great player.
Jack Twyman – 48pts, 6rbs, 19/28 FG, 5/6 3PT, 5/8 FT
bballsim56.com/BBS/boxes/23-1.html
Twyman, a member of the new youth movement in Utah, is off to an unbelievable start. Averaging 28/9/3 in only his third season, he’s certainly playing like a star. Much like Ray, he had a scorcher of a game against the Hornets, but in this case, it wasn’t enough to boost his team to victory. Nonetheless, an impressive performance.
Other great games from Twyman:
bballsim56.com/BBS/boxes/9-7.html
Omar Green – 43pts, 8rbs, 6stls, 18/26 FG, 4/6 3PT, 3/3 FT
bballsim56.com/BBS/boxes/33-1.html
Green, arguably the league’s most lethal shooter, isn’t putting up the dominant numbers he has in the past, but that comes as a result of being surrounded by a lot of other good scorers. Regardless, every now and then, he goes off, and boy did he go off against the Celtics. He’s just a supremely talented offensive player, and if the Magic get more games like this out of him, they’ll be tough to beat.
#20-11
20. Randy Sharpe – 42pts, 8rbs, 8asts, 14/20 FG, 4/5 3PT, 10/14 FT
bballsim56.com/BBS/boxes/7-6.html
The Wizards are not a very good team, and Sharpe might be their best player. He’s not a star, and he doesn’t seem to be highly thought of around the league, but there’s no question he’s a solid player. In this game, Sharpe set a career high in points, going off for 42 in a beatdown of the Pacers. Also grabbing 8 rebounds and dishing the ball to the tune of 8 assists, Sharpe showed what he’s capable of. It’ll be interesting to see if the Wiz can move him for a 1st before the deadline.
19. Dean Hollis – 36pts, 16rbs, 12asts, 2stls, 12/22 FG, 5/11 3PT, 7/7 FT
bballsim56.com/BBS/boxes/7-10.html
One of the league’s most valuable players, Hollis appears to be having a down season when you look at his stats. But he’s been playing second fiddle to superstar scorer Rickey Francis, which will hurt anyone’s stats. Make no mistake, Hollis is still an elite talent, and games like this show that. The Hornets are an elite team, and in this game, Hollis helped lead their dynamic trio to a 40 point thrashing of the Suns. Ironically enough, they just recently acquired Jacquez Knight, who was on the losing end in this game. With that quartet, they’ll be scarier than they were in games like this early in the season.
18. Perry Jones – 41pts, 14rbs, 6asts, 2stls, 16/29 FG, 3/5 3PT, 6/6 FT
bballsim56.com/BBS/boxes/11-8.html
Jones, one of the greatest BBS players ever, is having another fantastic season for the Mavericks. At 36, he is barely showing his age, still producing at an unbelievable clip. He’s helped make the Mavs one of the best teams in the West, and in this game, he did what he does best: Everything. He scored, grabbed rebounds, made some passes, and played some defense. The Mavericks beat down Denver, and Perry almost singlehandedly was the reason why, as no one else scored more than 19 points for the Mavs.
17. Bob Hopkins – 44pts, 13rbs, 5tos, 4blcks, 19/29 FG, 6/8 FT
bballsim56.com/BBS/boxes/4-11.html
The primary piece coming to Charlotte in the Bradley Barker deal last offseason, Hopkins isn’t having a great season. Shooting an atrocious 41%, Hopkins somehow manages to lead the Bobcats in PPG. Essentially, he’s a work in progress, but he’s shown some signs that he could one day be a dominant post player. He set a career high in points in this game vs. the Warriors. The turnovers are high, but the rest of his game was excellent, and thus he comes in at #17.
16. Bob Cousy – 44pts, 8rbs, 13asts, 3stls, 5tos, 14/24 FG, 16/17 FT
bballsim56.com/BBS/boxes/18-3.html
Cousy is having a strange season. The last two seasons, Cousy averaged 2.2 TPG, very good for a PG. This season, he’s up to 3.3 a game. It’s really the only flaw in his game, otherwise, he’s an absolute star. Playing in his contract year, Cousy’s scoring at a career high pace. In this game vs. the Spurs, he helped lead the Hawks to an impressive victory over a solid team. The FT mark is especially impressive.
Other great games from Cousy: bballsim56.com/BBS/boxes/13-5.html
15. Wilt Chamberlain – 46pts, 9rbs, 4asts, 3stls, 2blcks, 19/30 FG, 8/10 FT
bballsim56.com/BBS/boxes/4-1.html
Arguably the best player to ever enter the BBS, Chamberlain is having a very good rookie season in Minnesota. He leads a trio of talented young players, and is on track to become one of the league’s best players, if not the best player. He’s had a handful of impressive games, but this ranks as the best because of his efficiency. In some of his other games, he had many more rebounds, but many of them were likely of his own missed shots. Plus, going off for 46 points always helps. Just a total stud.
Other great games from Wilt:
bballsim56.com/BBS/boxes/1-5.html
bballsim56.com/BBS/boxes/9-3.html
14. Randy Sinclair – 42pts, 17rbs, 2asts, 4blcks, 17/28 FG, 8/14 FT
bballsim56.com/BBS/boxes/13-1.html
Sinclair took a long time to really break out, but over the last three seasons, he’s become one of the league’s better bigs. This season, he’s playing a key role in Portland’s potential playoff run. In this game, he helped the Blazers pull off a huge 13 point comeback in the 4th quarter and just eek out a win over the Pacers. A dominant performance, Sinclair is going to need to keep this up for the Blazers to survive their CY. Odds are, he does. He’s a damn good big. Just ask Jackson Haskins, the victim of his dominant game against the Pacers.
13. David Walker – 41pts, 22rbs, 3stls, 3to, 1blck, 13/28 FG, 11/15 FT
bballsim56.com/BBS/boxes/19-5.html
David Walker is the best player on the worst team in the league. He’s putting up solid stats, but again, they probably don’t mean much considering he’s surrounded by mediocre players. A former #1 pick, Walker’s been a bit of a disappointment in BBS. He hasn’t become the completely dominant big he was expected to be, and he’s fallen just short of stardom. His lack of shot blocking and proneness to turning the ball over are what have really held him back. Regardless, he is still a good player, and at times a great one, as is evidenced in this game vs. the Heat. The Lakers still lost the game, but Walker went off and put a beatdown on Miami. If he had more games like this in the first ten years of his career, odds are he wouldn’t be looked at as a disappointment.
12. Stephen Flint – 37pts, 19rbs, 2asts, 2tos, 8blcks, 13/28 FG, 11/20 FT
bballsim56.com/BBS/boxes/33-6.html
Flint is one of the most dominant bigs in the league, appearing on the All-League 1st Team two seasons in a row for the Nets. His only flaw is his poor FT shooting, and yet, he’s still absolutely dominant, and any team would love to have him. Games like this, against the rival New York Knicks are why. In an otherwise ugly, low-scoring defensive struggle, Flint went off on the Knicks and led the Nets to a hard-fought victory. Flint looks to be on his way to a 3rd consecutive 1st Team appearance, and performances like this are why.
Other great games from Flint: bballsim56.com/BBS/boxes/41-9.html
11. JT Irish – 48pts, 13rbs, 3stls, 3tos, 16/30FG, 5/11 3PT, 11/15 FT
bballsim56.com/BBS/boxes/9-6.html
One of the league’s best SF’s, Irish’s talents have unfortunately been squandered on losing teams. This season, this is once again the case, as he started out on an abysmal Celtics team and was then sent to Miami, who seems to be doing its best to lose as many games as possible. Irish singlehandedly helped the Celts win some games with performances like this one. Setting a career high in points, he helped lead the Celts to a win over the Pistons. The Heat look to have an impressive future, led by Irish and Bradley Barker, and who knows, hopefully Irish can play for a winning team soon.

Pt. 2 to come later tonight most likely...
