20. Amir Otemzel SF 22 6'6'' 233 B- B C A C B
18.1 ppg 5.5 rpg 2.6 apg
He wasn't one of the players in his draft picked to potentially go #1 but from the looks of it, he should have been. His defense is already among the best in the league and he's only a rookie. His upside could be questionable and that could be the reason he dropped so far down the lotto but the numbers he's putting up are pretty impressive. He only played 43 games so it's a small sample and his stats could be inflated due to a lack of supporting cast, but i think he'd be a starter on many teams to be honest. Nice little steal by the Raptors.
19. Jay Johnson PG 23 6'3'' 195 B- B- A B+ D+ C
20.9 ppg 9.5 apg 3.8 rpg 3.0 topg
His offensive ratings kind of suck to be honest. I almost overlooked him as i was writing this article. I saw his ratings and almost went on to the next team but i had to scroll down seeing he was under 25 and his numbers were crazy. It's not like he was doing this on some scrub tanking team either. He was on a playoff caliber team and he was one of the main reasons they made it so far. I doubt he'll develop any more and his turnovers are a little too much, but dude is sneaky good. Probably shouldn't be on here off his ratings tbh.
18. Kuran Iverson SF 24 6'9'' 223 B A- B C+ A- C
18.0 ppg 8.4 rpg 3.3 apg
Another guy who switched teams via FA and instantly improved in TC. He looked like a nice young up and coming player in his first few years with the Bucks, but after a few disappointing tc's he hit fa a little under the radar and the heat took advantage. I doubt anyone expected him to have the type of tc he did. His defense could be something to be worried about going forward but his offensive production and rebounding out of the small forward spot make him a stud at this point and he could continue to get better.
17. Marquell Rodgers PF 19 6'10'' 248 B+ C- B- B+ B A
13.8 ppg 9.8 rpg 3.1 apg
He's here mainly cause of his upside. His production is pretty sorry at the moment but his ratings are pretty sexy and he's still only 19. He came into the league at 18 and he's improved every tc thus far and he still has most of his camps left. He has some sick potential, but i couldn't put him any higher than this. I think i might even be stretching it with this rankings. I think Marquell is a franchise big though.
16. LaDaniel Graham PG 23 6'3'' 231 B+ B B B C+ C
27.8 ppg 6.8 rpg 4.6 apg 3.3 topg
WTF at this dude. Those offensive numbers are crazy, damn. He's listed as a Point Guard but it doesn't look like he gets much playing time there and with good reason. He's averaging 3.3 topg as a scorer, that's tyreke evans territory. His numbers might be a little inflated due to being on a bad team, but 28 ppg is just too much to discard as pure inflation. He's probably not a guy people would look for in any type of rebuilding package, but it's hard to argue with those numbers.
15. Rick Moore PF 22 6'11'' 247 A- C C+ B B+ B
21.6 ppg 9.9 rpg 4.2 apg
I never really heard of this dude before i started looking at rosters to write this article. When i came across him i was impressed though. It looks like he's going to be a legit scorer and he's still only 22. His ratings and scoring aren't the thing that stood out to me though. His ability to pass the ball and get dimes really jumped out at me. You won't find another big man in the league with his passing ability, i don't think. His upside is questionable at this point, but his production is already nice anyways.
Bonus. Ricky Roe SF 24 6'9'' 230 A- A A- C+ C- C
34.9 mpg 23.2 ppg 4.7 rpg 3.8 apg
I'd probably put Ricky Roe right around him if i had the chance to redo this. I fucked up in the first edition.
14. Alex Jackson PG 22 6'5'' 208 A- C+ B+ A- C B
21.8 ppg 8.7 apg 6.1 rpg 1.7 spg
Alex jackson is a little bit tricky. His offensive numbers are great, but his turnovers are too big a problem to ignore. It' has yet to be seen whether Alex will ever be a starting caliber PG in this league due to his turnovers. Either way, he should be able to make the transition over to Shooting guard without many problems. If his turnovers continue, he'll never be a point guard on a contending team.
13. Andre Drummond PF 24 6'10'' 251 B D C A- A- B
11.1 ppg 12.3 rpg 3.9 bpg
meh, he should probably be lower on this list, but his impact on the defensive end is too sick. His offensive numbers are underwhelming but some of it probably has to do with the fact the bulls ran an outside offense. With the acquisition of Flint, Drummond will probably be seeing all of his playing time at Center next season, unless he gets traded. I might have ranked him a little too high, but I love his defense.
12. Ben Rollins SG 22 6'5'' 206 A- B C B- C+ C
20.5 ppg 5.5 rpg 2.5 apg
It seems like Rollins has had the same ratings since his rookie year. I thought he'd be better by now to be honest. Broph has been trying to trade him for a while now, but no one seems to want to bite and it's easy to see why. His defense is mediocre and his potential has taken a hit to say the least. He was putting up 28 ppg earlier in the season and that's why i put him this high. He probably would have been lower. I don't know why broph benched him though if he was producing so much. Maybe his defense is that bad.
11. Stephen Flint PF 23 6'11'' 232 A- D D- A- B A
No Stats Available
After taking a look at his ratings, i really wanted to put Flint in the top 5, but the fact is he just hasn't produced and we don't really know what kind of player he could be. There's a small chance he could perform below his ratings but dude looks sick already. The scariest part about it as that he hasn't been camped at all. He has all his AC's and RC's and the potential to go along with it. if we were basing this solely off ratings, i'd put him top 3 probably.
10. Andrew Wiggins C 24 7'0'' 261 B+ C- D A- B B
17.7 ppg 11.2 rpg 3.7 bpg
The former #1 pick was a major disappointment for all of his first four seasons. He went into FA as a bust and after signing with the Magic, he has turned into a full out stud. Not quite Fab Melo cause he's still young, but his numbers were surprising when i first saw them. His defensive presence alone make him one of the best young bigs in the game and it looks like he still could be getting better. One of those delayed bloomers.
9. Antonio Ramsey SF 22 6'9'' 259 A- C+ C B- B A
20.2 ppg 9.2 rpg
He's ranked the highest out of all the rookies at the moment. It looks like he has emerged as the best prospect from this past draft and he's done yet. He came in as a Power Forward but like all big men with a nice outside game, he got moved to Small Forward and it ended up being for the best. He's already putting up 20 ppg and he's one of the best rebounding small forwards in the league, if not the best and he's still only a rookie. Deebz invests in his players so i'm sure we can count Ramsey as a sure thing at this point. Bummed he didn't fall to me.
8. Andre Hixon C 23 7'0'' 228 A- D+ D+ A- B B
17.1 ppg 8.8 rpg 1.8 bpg
Hixon has just been traded to the Magic, but at least Play got a young beast in return. Hixon seeems like he has the potential to be the next great big, but we have yet to seen him put up the numbers to coincide with his ratings. It could be due to the fact play had an outside oriented offense throughout the season and i'm sure that's the reason for his low production. His percentages are great for a big. His rebounding might be a bit of a concern, but that's one of the easiest things to develop, so that shouldn't be a problem going forward.
7. Vince McCracken SG 21 6'5'' 203 A- B+ C+ B- C A
20.5 ppg 5.3 rpg 3.2 apg
I love this guy, no homo. His scoring ratings are already sick and he hasn't even been AC'd, i don't think. He's only in his second year and already putting up 20 ppg on a good playoff team. If his potential holds true, he'll definitely jump ahead of the next guy quick. It looks like he's far from a finished product, but even if he disappoints and stays the same over the next few years, he's a stud nonetheless. We could be looking at the next great player for play.
6. Dan Davis SG 24 6'6'' 220 B+ A- B- A C- B
23.1 ppg 4.8 rpg 3.9 apg 2.4 spg
What you see is what you get. Unlike the other guys slotted around him, it looks like Dan Davis is done developing. I thought of putting McCracken ahead of him, but Dan Davis' defensive stats pushed him over the top for me. His scoring ain't too bad either and he's still only 24. It has yet to be seen whether Dan can put up similar type numbers on a contending team, but his defense is no fluke. Hawks got themselves a solid wing player for the next 5 seasons at least.
5. Alf Sjoberg C 21 7'0'' 296 B C+ D+ B+ A B
19.7 ppg 11.9 rpg 2.3 bpg
A couple seasons ago i thought Alf was going to be the best big man in the league. He's had a couple disappointing tc's as far as improvements go, but he's still a beast nonetheless. His ratings don't really scream "elite", but his production is just too good to ignore. The scary part about it is that he's still only 21 so even with some minor improvements here and there, he can jump up these rankings a bit in the future. Broph maybe talks about him too much, but it's hard to blame him when he's this good.
4. Jacquez Knight PG 21 6'3'' 192 B+ B A- B C A
19.1 ppg 8.9 apg 5.3 rpg 2.0 spg
I think Jacquez has the potential to be better and more valuable than anyone on this list. He's young, he has potential and he's already putting up good numbers. The Heat did a heck of a job acquiring this guy. The league might be a little inflated with PG's, but it's still nice to have one of the best young players in arguably the most important position. I think he'll be better than jordan, but we haven't seen it yet. His potential is limitless though, dude can be a beast.
3. Mitchell Jordan SG 24 6'6'' 223 A- A- C B- C B
25.9 ppg 5.0 rpg 2.4 apg
Deebz always hypes up his players, especially if they're young and up can coming. Often, he overhypes them, but that isn't the case with Mitchell Jordan. Mitchell has turned into one of the best scorers in the league and he's only 24. His defense might be mediocre throughout his career but his scoring will surely make up for it. His scoring dropped from the previous year, but that's to be expected with the added talent dbw has filled the team with. Mitchell is the best scorer to have right now for the next 10 seasons.
2. Evan Dickerson C 22 7'0'' 228 A- C D+ A- B+ A
19.5 ppg 11.8 rpg 3.8 bpg
I think this guy has the potential to be the best big man for the next 10 seasons. He's still only 22 and it looks like he still has the upside to improve on his already great numbers. Evan has lived up to his #1 overall selection. The only downside to him is that he's going to be playing under jah for a while seemingly. His career will probably go down the drain while never competing for anything. It's hard to see jah making that power move to surround Evan with high caliber talent and it's a shame. Jah is a solid gm, but Evan will probably never been on anything more than a 2nd round exit team, at best.
1. Sean O'Mara C 23 7'1'' 311 B+ C- D+ B+ A C
23.5 ppg 13.3 rpg 4.3 bpg
And finally here's out number 1. He's probably not the best big with the most upside, but his numbers are just too sick to keep him from the top spot. I considered putting Evan ahead of Sean, but O'mara has been putting up these type of numbers for 2-3 seasons already and he's still only 23. It doesn't look like he has much room to improve any more, but his numbers already put him as one of the best big men in the league, if not the best. It's easy to see why lumley has refused to part with him over the years.
